OK, so getting back to the subject at hand, I was browsing through the forum today and read this thread. Yeah, I do think it's kinda dumb to have 2 Ads teams, but it's not their fault just a coinky dink haha.

I work at the Bradley Center and have heard through various sources, to dispell thoughts of "just going back" or "just a logo change," that in fact the logo is going to be entirely NEW. Add to that, the teams colors are going to be "very aquatic" in nature.

I have no real information, nor do I own any concepts, but from what I hear: Ads top brass is really set that the fans and public will love it.

On a sad note, maybe Phil Witliff didn't think to highly of it, a diehard for Ads fans as a player, a coach, and GM. He decided to step down today and retire. :/

Good luck Phil in your future endeavours!!!

Sounds interesting.

I never liked the new Admirals identity - the "skating admiral" logo lost all its charm when it was reduced to just a head, and the over-emphasis on cardinal seemed misplaced with the team name.

Anybody remember the 1940s Great Lakes Naval Station gold-anchor-on-blue-cap that Ebbets Field used to sell? Something like that would make a great logo for the team, and could work with the Brewers colors.

I didn't understand any of that.

I'm feeling very old right now.

Me neither. What the heck is a Jibbet and why do the children have crocodiles?

I didn't know what teh heck jibbits were either, so I asked. I'm sort of sorry I did.

Why don't they just pick a new name? Admirals and Milwaukee...doesn't make much sense to me.

Actually they do. Milwaukee is right on the shoreline of Lake Michigan. Thus giving the Sea-worthy name approprietness.

I just still doesn't seem like a great name. When I think of Admiral, I think of someone who controls a ship militarally. Maybe Skippers would make more sense? I dunno.

Since the unveiling is tonight, I thought I'd give a heads up. Last I heard, was that the colors are gonna be something like Black, Teal/Aqua, and Gold...? Not sure though, so don't quote me lol.

I don't know if someone mentioned this already, but I remember reading that Milwaukee's nickname came from the original owner's best selling appliance at his store was the Admiral. Today's useless bit of info.(bow)
