No way in hell it would happen but Mark Sanchez should be destined to wear the silver & black.

they'll be going with a Wide Receiver in the draft I figure. Crabtree maybe

From ESPN.com:

Three weeks ago, receiver Terrell Owens stated he had no intention of attending any Buffalo Bills workouts unless they were mandatory.

So much for that.

Owens

Owens

Owens showed up on Wednesday at the team's Orchard Park, N.Y., facility to participate in the voluntary offseason conditioning program. His arrival surprised even some of his closest associates.

Three days after the Dallas Cowboys cut Owens, the future Hall of Famer signed a one-year contract for $6.5 million guaranteed.

But when most of the Bills gathered for the offseason conditioning program, the team's first workouts after Owens joined the team, he was absent.

"I talked to coach [Dick] Jauron prior to the start of the workouts about that," Owens told USA Today on March 25 in Washington D.C., where he was honored for his charity work at an Alzheimer's Association gala. "Right now if there's nothing mandatory that I have to be a part of, then I won't intend to be there."

Even though Owens is entering his 14th pro season, pundits and fans were disappointed with his decision. Players who switch teams or are playing under new coaches generally make it a point to attend voluntary workouts for the sake of team chemistry.

The Bills also have a young quarterback, third-year pro Trent Edwards, who could benefit from having Owens around.

What terrible journalism. Starts out negative, is full of conjecture at the end, and even finishes with a preposition.

By the way, funny how you don't hear much about his charity work, huh? Seems like this whole article is a good thing, made to appear as terrible as possible.

The person who wrote that "article" must watch a lot of ESPN's NFL Today, especially when Mark Schlereth and Trey Wingo are on.

Criticized for not showing up, called a cancer, lambasted. THEN, criticized for showing up when he initially said he wasn't, called a cancer, lambasted for not showing up in the first place.

I really think these media guys are going to miss T.O. when his playing days are over. They love them some him!

As long as it's on NFL Network, it's cool because...well, they're the NFL Network.

Now, if ESPN were to do this instead of showing some NBA or MLB game, THEN I'd be hot.

I'm sure I'd really miss the football, but I would love to see the NFL choke on all of it's greed, excess, and self-aggrandizing. Hopefully, it will happen on Goodell's watch.

It would be beautiful.

So THIS is what it has come to down in Tampa...

...Their fail-safe (read: "back-up" plan) to Luke McCown? Byron Leftwich, according to "sources" (that being whoever Michael Smith talked to).

This oughtta be interesting, to say the least. Let's see...statue QB with a .50 caliber for a throwing arm...who takes about as long to launch the ball as it does to charge an actual .50 cal weapon (so, you know, those kinda cancel each other out).

The comedy show that is the 2009 Tampa Bay Buccaneers off-season continues...

...oh, and for anyone who cares, presumably those same "sources" also say that the "ageless" Zach Thomas has signed on with the Chefs.

*Disclaimer: I am not an authoritative expert on stuff...I just do a lot of reading and research and keep in close connect with a bunch of people who are authoritative experts on stuff. 😁

Personally, I love this deal. Leftwitch proved to me last season that he's willing to work his ass off to compete, and I think he really could help us do something special. Good sign IMO.

Look at NASCAR. They've definitely jumped the shark and the NFL will too one day.

I think Leftwich is a decent enough 'stand by QB', who could look after the position for a year or two, whilst the Bucs wait patiently for a decent QB through the draft. I think it might be a sign that Tampa Bay is taking the smart route that the Lions ought to be taking this year- ignore the QB class for this year, go with experience for a year or two, and pick up a great QB in a year or two. (IMO the first 3 Lions picks should be One of the OTs, either Monroe or Smith depepnding on who they prefer, then an LB in 20, and maybe Pat White for some wildcat work with 33, I think they will go Stafford, an OT, and who knows in 33. I think they are ignoring history and common sense if they think that Stafford will turn the franchise around, and if you haven't got a guy who can turn a franchise around- play safe in the first round.)

I would have no problem with the NFL suffering from its own hubris, but I don't think NASCAR is a good comparison. Football is pretty deeply woven into American culture at this point, and will take a lot more to bring down. Stock car racing is a big part of the culture of the South, and NASCAR overreached to markets that wouldn't support it over the long term, while ignoring its core fans. If anything, a good comparison for NASCAR is the NHL and its southern expansion. Plus both have lots of mullets.

There's a hot rumor that the Falcons could be acquiring Tony Gonzalez from the Chiefs (great googily moogily) for nothing but a 2nd-round draft pick (the 55th pick, I believe).

If that's true, what's Dimitroff waiting for?

He deserves a legitimate shot at a championship, and that won't come to Kansas City for (if they're successful in rebuilding) another few years. He's done more in a decade for a Chiefs team operated by an incompetent clown regime than I could imagine, and without a Super Bowl to show for it.
