2010 MLB New Logos, Uniforms, Patches

Good question, and one that I have been pursuing for a while now.

The Braves definitely use a much different Blue/Navy than the one used for fabric usage. What I have learned somewhat more recently, is that there is a "team-specified" alternate version that the team uses internally. I don't know why they don't just use the darker color; it might be because of the "legacy" aspect of it.

.

I can't find your color listings on the website anymore. Is the same true of the University of Illinois? I believe their official athletic colors are a blue similar to the this Braves' blue and a dull orange. Many times merchandise would have those colors on them, even though the teams wear a dark navy and a bright orange. The EA sports football games used to always get the jerseys wrong, too. The design would be right, but the colors would be the "official" colors instead of what teams wore on the field.

Meh - the first version of those was so much better (shut up, Gothamite!)

Also, throwback night for the Astros to 1989-93. Nice unis, but half the guys don't know how to wear the stirrups. Astros half-assed it using the current batting helmets. Also, players wearing current-day black shoes (Astros wore white back in the day).

Hey, those look a lot better than what they wear now. Too bad they're irreparably ruined by the Phil Garner era. Is that outer trim dark green or dark blue?

♫ oh yeah, board goes on, long after the thrill of postin' is gone ♫

Also, is the piping a big thick blue line or is it a blue-green-blue stripe?

It's a solid, thick, navy blue braid.

Well, I guess there's no accounting for taste. :P

The workmark is blue with gold and green outlines. Same as the rough draft 1994-95 version. And as Sodboy said, the thick piping is solid blue.

Good on the Brewers. They seem to have gotten this one right. Anybody in Milwaukee know if they're selling the caps?

Those Brewers jerseys are EPIC FAIL. That's what they killed the ball-and-glove for in 1994! Booooo.

The hats had some moderate success, but nobody really bought much of that gear. Hardly ANYBODY wore those jerseys up here...maybe 'cause back then, the Brewers never really marketed themselves outside of southeastern Wisconsin.

Green is NOT a Milwaukee Brewers color. Selig just tried to glom off of the Packers' mid-90s success.

I reiterate, boooooooooo. The current set (and 80s throwbacks) are SOOOOOOOOO much better.

Now on Facebook. And Twitter.

As Uni Watch pointed out over the weekend, the Brewers' throwbacks were pretty accurate, even ommitting the batterman logo:

But shouldn't there have been a batterman logo on the cap...
