2010 MLB New Logos, Uniforms, Patches

I used to have the hat they wore during that time frame that had the green brim and the interlocked "MB" logo on it. Also, I really liked those jerseys. I was a huge fan of Jeromy Burnitz, Dave Nillson, and John Jaha in those days.

Those Brewers jerseys are EPIC FAIL. That's what they killed the ball-and-glove for in 1994! Booooo.

The hats had some moderate success, but nobody really bought much of that gear. Hardly ANYBODY wore those jerseys up here...maybe 'cause back then, the Brewers never really marketed themselves outside of southeastern Wisconsin.

Green is NOT a Milwaukee Brewers color. Selig just tried to glom off of the Packers' mid-90s success.

I reiterate, boooooooooo. The current set (and 80s throwbacks) are SOOOOOOOOO much better.

Nah, I don't like the current set. They can burn those Microsoft Word uniforms and grill brats over them for all I care. Mmm, you'll really be able to taste the lack of commitment to pitching.

I don't like green as a Brewers color either (nor do I like navy blue and dingy gold), but that dark industrial green did sorta fit the city well. Not for nothing was Miller Park given a big green metal roof.

♫ oh yeah, board goes on, long after the thrill of postin' is gone ♫

The Motre Bameness was the sh**. Still my favorite Brewers set of all time--yes, even over the BiG. (And quite possibly the only time I think I've preferred navy and gold over royal and yellow. That the green was mixed in there was an added bonus.)

Rays wearing Tampa Tarpons jersey against the Os August 13th

First I've heard of this. Normally theyre very accurate with the throwbacks, like so.

I own that hat, gah I like that hat.

I have to say that maybe I'm part of the minority here but everything about this look and identity trumps what they currently have now. I wish they would have gone with this instead.

I'm part of that same minority, all things considered. Firstly, there's really not another color scheme like this currently in the bigs, unlike the milquetoast current identity, this one actually has a good lil' bit of flavor...and think of how cool that stP would look as an alternate logo...or better yet, a stand-alone chest logo.

As do I, and what they have now isn't half bad. That Pelicans set is absolutely beautiful. It's my favorite uniform ever worn by a pro team. Everything from the colors to the uniform layout is a thing of beauty. The only thing I'd change is to replace the P in Pelicans with the STP logo.

The Rays almost had it right with their last set, in my opinion. They just needed to lighten the blue and they would have had it.

The St. Pete Pelicans look is nice too, though. Would changing the location from Tampa Bay to St. Pete fly?

You're right that the Brewers didn't market themselves outside of Southeastern Wisconsin. But you're wrong that people didn't like, and buy, Brewers merchandise from those years.

"tried to glom off of the Packers' mid-90s success"? I think you're wrong about that as well.

The Brewers' uniforms were announced in 1993. The Packers' most recent record was 9-7. The year before that? 9-7. Before that was 4-12, the year before that was 6-10. 1989 was pretty good to the Packers, who finished with a 10-6 record, but that came after seasons of 4-12, 5-9, 4-12, 8-8 and 8-8. In the decade before the Brewers added green, the Packers went 66-92.

Now, were the Packers still popular during that period? Sure. But nowhere near where they would be just a year or two later.

You are certainly free to your opinion. You didn't like those uniforms. But if you're going to drag out the silly "epic fail" meme, you should make sure that the facts are on your side. :D

Dude in my 11th grade class ('93-'94) had an authentic road Motre Bame jersey. He had some relative that was either on the team, worked in the FO, or was in their system, so he had the jersey before it was worn in the '94 season. It was extremely rare in those days (practically never happened) to see an authentic jersey for a team other than the local team, so I studied the hell out of it. Man, was it pretty. The font, the MB, the gold, the green, etc.

Just called the Brewers team store at Miller Park - they are not selling the '97-'99 home cap worn this past Saturday. The employee thought lids.com carried it, but I came up with bupkis there. And so, my search to replace the cap I wore into oblivion continues.

I keep checking MLB.com and Lids.com expecting to find it now that the throwback game occurred. Please let us know if you happen to come across them.

I found a bunch of old-style Brewers hats on ebay, some home and some road. Can't vouch for the sellers or anything, but if you're interested...

For some reason they were selling the '94-'96 "MB" caps with the green brim instead of the '97-'99 "M" caps. (I was there for the game they wore them.)

Anyways, one of the top 5 jerseys in all of pro sports history. Right up there with the '97-'03 Blue Jays stuff. Just purely beautiful.

There's nothing to get. He's just excited that the Phillies finally called up Domonic Brown, and decided to use the "new uniform" thread to show pics of his jerseys.
