Oh, this is just too rich.

You should have heard the cheering that erupted during the Atlanta Hawks game tonight. Priceless.

Ok Saints fans, let's start hearing the excuses.

How long will you be on this board before you realize I don't make excuses? I don't think Chawls or other Saints fans on here have either. What's more sad to me is the obvious need so many people here have to pile on. Pile away, I couldn't care less. I've said it before, it takes mental toughness to be a Saints fan. Forty years of "wait till next year" and crap like losing a game by a point when your QB is sacked for a safety with a minute left (@ Dallas, 1983) will do that to you. :D

I'm disapponted of course but still love the Saints as much as ever. I must say that last year's SB title makes this kind of thing MUCH easier to take. And now I'll continue to root for my other favorite team: whoever's playing Atlanta. B)

BTW, how many of you were in such a froth when it was 10-0 Saints before all the fans were even seated?

Sorry...my response is aimed towards to bandwagon Saints fans that I work with and live near. Those that cannot accept that another team won the game more than the myriad of reasons as to why the Saints lost the game. As you well know, Atlanta is full of them. Funny how so few of them didn't mention the travel, injuries, etc. BEFORE the game started, yet started using them as excuses afterwards.

That's fair and I know what you mean about those type of fans. Frankly, I was much more that way when I was younger. I'm more objective now. I could offer many reasons why the Saints lost, some of their own making and some where Seattle just made the plays (LYNCH!!), but there are absolutely no excuses for this loss. Championship-caliber teams overcome the injuries and the travel and the crowd noise.

It's a joke because Peyton Manning is a male.

No :censored: Sherlock we got that. It's still stupid.

Sanchez sucks.

Dude is now 3-1 as a starter in the playoffs -- he's gotta be doing something right.

Nobody can hand a football off quite like the Sanchize.

And the "40 years of wait 'til next year" is also crap. The Chargers have had 47 years of "wait 'til next year." When we finally win a Lombardi, there's not going to be a year-long love-in afterwards, because nobody in the national media cares about San Diego sports in general. So please don't start with the pity party, because New Orleans doesn't even have the worst championship drought.

He's looking at you.... Cleveland.

We just don't give a :censored: anymore. Win, lose, whatever. It's all the same. At the end of the day we're still stuck in Ohio. No amount of winning can help with that.

Oh gee, I get it now. <_<

Anywhoooo....very excited for the Packers-Eagles game tonight. I'll probably be listening to it in my truck's radio though, as I'm going back to good 'ol USU today. That is, until I hit Cache Valley and lose signal because Logan is a lost social bubble tucked away in an isolated canyon. Hopefully I can still catch it.

You know, I'm kinda glad to hear that BlueSky isn't making up excuses for the Saints' loss yesterday. I, along with most of the people here, watched the game and New Orleans is a damn good team.

Hell, they were up by ten twice in Seattle. Considering how the Saints shredded the 'Hawks D like lettuce in New Orleans, I was worried the same thing would happen again. But, somehow and someway Seattle made a big run and took control. Don't get me wrong, the Saints are a good team. But, you have to wonder if they need to tweak the defense a little bit after what Hasselbeck did to them.

Either way, I want to say to all New Orleans fans that they provided a good game and I wish them the best in the offseason.

Lol. Saying the Saints fans provided a good game, and wishing them well in the offseason? That's very big of you. It's amazing what a win by a football team thousands of miles away can do to someone's self worth. Hopefully saints fans can learn from this and come back better next year.

Hey, I'll take his response over most of what I'm getting on the board and at work. Did have one kinda pathetic silver lining today though. Went to Jersey Mike's for lunch and the manager saw my Saints ballcap and gave me a free cookie in sympathy. :D

Now that's my kind of sliver lining. Maybe you ought to wear your Saints cap more often, man. I mean, if you can get a free cookie out of it, who knows what else you can get by wearing it? :P

I live in California now so I'm not close to any of the 'annoying' Saints fans. The ones here on the message board are not bad at all compared to the ones that you run into on the street claiming that the Katrina thing made the team rise up and all that crap. The truth of the matter is that the bandwagon fans are the most annoying because most don't know jack about the team. At least BlueSky is a true fan. I would wish the Saints well this offseason but as I am a Falcons fan we all know I can't do that ;-)

He'll get a free ass-kicking if he wears Saints gear to the Gulch on Saturday night....

It doesn't take Saints gear for anyone to get an ass-kicking down there...or stabbed...or shot...or carjacked...yeah, downtown Atlanta is nice.

Chieves beginning to self-destruct.

And the infamous tuck rule rears its ugly head!

This is a totally lopsided beatdown. Cassel and his o-line look like an epic fail.

Note to Saints...review the Ravens-Chiefs tape to see how to handle your business on the road in the playoffs.

According to Jay Glazer on the Fox pregame, the Saints tried to trade for Marshawn Lynch. Didn't hear all of it but apparently the Bills had some kind of brain lock and that's why the deal didn't go through. Yeah, kinda wish he'd been in a Saints uni yesterday!

If this place had a "like" feature...well...I wouldn't use it here any more than I do on Facebook because I think it's stupid. Suffice it to say that if this were a baseball game and BBTV was at the plate, he would have just lined one into the gap for a 2 RBI double.
