Cutler plays a lot better when he's not staring up from the dirt, but Cutler-bashing is easy. People love to hate him.

... but today, he was staring from the rubber... ^_^ but in all seriousness, the O-line should feel most embarrassed.

I saw, I came, I left.

San Diego super blunders are happening again.

The Chargers can never just lose to the Patriots. They have to do so in the most frustrating way possible.

Damn sick catch by VJ makes it a 7 point game again.

Today is a pretty good example of why I've never had all that much interest in either of the Bay Area teams, despite living in Northern California my whole life. Both teams are just so hard to support.

Cam Newton is going to be great, he just needs the rest of the Panthers to help, and learn how to win like the champion Packers did today.

I have a feeling Carolina will rise back up to contender status faster than even Detroit has, thanks in no small part to Newton. Their offensive coordinator deserves some mad props too, for designing an offense that Newton works so well in so quickly.

What a game in San Francisco today. Couldn't believe Romo played through a broken rib. Honestly, when they said he broke it and Kitna came in, I thought the Niners were going to beat us for sure. Great game, can't believe we came back down 24-14 in the fourth to win it. Miles Austin was ridiculous today, the touchdown he had to make it 21-24 was outstanding. Overall, great game. We didn't play great by any stretch of the imagination, but it was a great game.

Tough loss for the Bengals, but the team does not suck. I'm liking the drafting of Andy Dalton more each game and AJ Green was great today. The defense is sturdy and the offense has a future. It's nice to see direction from this team.

I think everyone hates Jay Cutler without any consideration for his talent or his thoroughly unenviable football-version-of-the-last-sane-man-on-earth predicament because he just looks like such a tremendous douche. Jay Cutler is the preening, alpha-male, "my dad owns a dealership" piece of crap you went to high school with. Even I sporadically derive satisfaction from watching him roll his eyes and groan, and I generally want the Bears to win.

Who is this football team and what have they done with my laughable Detroit Lions?!

Stafford has looked sharp in both games and that defense beat up the Chiefs all game long. Hopefully the days of the Lions being the best comedy show on FOX are over. I did, however, hold my breath when Jeff Sackus let another block loose that blindsided Stafford in the second quarter.

2-0, Vikings up next.

:D :D

The Patriots are loaded and like to fire the ball down the field, the Chargers are loaded and like to shoot themselves in the foot.

The Dolphins are just a fine mess, and the Texans have the AFC South right in the palm of their hands.

Something has to give in Denver, as long as Tebow is around Bronco fans are not going to give Orton a break, you cant win like that.

Tony Romo showed some toughness and grit as the 49ers fell apart like a cheap leisure suit.

As an Oregon homer, it is my duty to anounce that Blount and Stewert did great :P

Oh, and what was that about Cam Newton failing in the NFL?

you can't support a team that doesnt win every week?

If you need a team to win in order to support them, then you're not really supporting them at all. You're following them.

I say this from the incredibly privileged position of supporting two teams that are very good and outstanding, respectively. But in order to get there, I've had to live with some very lousy teams. I was every bit as big a Packer fan in the 1970s and 80s as I am today, and every Brewer fan over 5 years old remembers the dark days.

It's living through those bad seasons that make you a real fan.

True story. I thought all that "I was there for the bad times!" self-congratulatory back-patting was obnoxious--no one is proud of having eaten bad food at a restaurant--till I realized how many hours of woeful hockey I logged with the Blackhawks in high school and college, and what a difference that made in the fleeting happiness I derived from the championship.

FIRE THEM CANNONS BUCS!!!! What a HUGE come back. I'm so amped right now!

A little bit of an asterisk, considering the team they did it against.

Just out of curiosity, what do you mean? I simply cannot get a read on the Vikings. They've been so dr jekyll and mr hyde from half to half that it's hard to tell what they're made of.

Either way though, a win is a win. And it was one we really needed.

I know...that was soon after I watched them blow the lead. Minnesota teams (Twins, Wolves, Vikes) just seem so adept at finding ways to lose. It's frustrating.

He hasn't won a game yet... for now... he's a failure...

Correction: Carolina is a failure. Newton has been a success.
