I'm not sure if this is god or bad for the Pac-12. Probably bad. We need some top teams, not a bunch of teams ranked in the teens.

Kentucky bans alcohol during tailgating for football games.

How will their fans tolerate what happens on the field?

It just shows how stupid some Kentucky fans are. The only way for Kentucky fans to tolerate their team's performance on the field is for them to cheer for Louisville.

Even the most broke-ass, lower tier noble has a higher social status than the wealthiest peasant. Louisville should remember its place.

No matter if you're a Louisville fan or a Kentucky fan, you're still stuck with the crippling and painful reality that you root for a school from Kentucky.

Pac 12 and Big 12 are in talks to form a seventh major bowl that would match its best against the best of the other five conferences.

So essentially, if I'm understanding how everything's aligning:

Rose Bowl = Pac 12 Vs. Big Ten

Sugar Bowl = Big Ten Vs. SEC

Cotton Bowl (Champions) = SEC Vs. Big 12

Orange Bowl = ACC Vs. Big Ten

"7th Bowl" = Big 12 (Pac 12) Vs. Top-Ranked Mid-Major

Championship = Winners of the "Six"

So with everything that's happening, other likely candidates would be Chick-fil-A, Fiesta, Capital One, and even the Alamo.

This new playoff system may end up being as confusing, if not more so, than Bracketology in college basketball.

I'm no idiot but this is getting confusing for me. Does this new proposed bowl have any bearing on the playoff coming in two years? Why are they adding more BCS bowl games after the announcement of the playoff system? The conference championships should just act as the quarterfinals. Maybe you throw a non AQ ortwo in there somewhere. Its way too complex now.

Such a pitiful display of defense in the WVU/Baylor game. The secondaries on each squad are clueless...and the defensive lines? The word penetration is not in their vocabularies...no pass rush whatsoever.

Not surprised, no. This is just excessively bad...where do they recruit these defensive players from? I don't get how you can allow so many busted plays in one game (or half, for that matter). Do they just coach "let them score so we can get it back and score, too!"?

Texas and K-State "attempt" to play defense better than the others. Possibly TCU as well, but we will see how they can work with Big XII offenses weekly.

This game is far from entertaining. Defensice battles interest me more than seeing a QB (Geno Smith) complete 29 of his first 32 attempts.

Because he can sling it around a secondary filled with holes? You're quite premature with this prediction...let's see how he does over the next 4 games, although I still expect some overinflated stats.
