So, if they get the deal done tomorrow, we'll have about a day for players to come back, 1 day for training camp, 4 days for the season, 2 days for the playoffs, and a day for the Finals.

Then the world ends and we're all sent to New Jersey!

Don't see why. This puts the whole issue in the court system and out of their hands. But I was listening to the radio and the owners apparently filed some lawsuit to get the lockout declared legal preemptively. So who knows. Either way given how unwilling the owners in particular have been to negotiate, this is probably in the courts hands now. Which will take more than the 2-3 weeks they have left before this all ends if they let it play out in the courts.

This is supposed to be the part where the rank and file fold like card tables and take a terrible deal from the league just to get a season played, but I don't think the realities of such a CBA would benefit me as a Blackhawks fan, so I kinda hope they don't?
