Kevin W.
If Nik Rabinowitz' bit about South African sports commentary from Mock the Week is anything to go by, I bet watching sports with an Afrikaans commentator would be hilarious. Mighty Ducks of Anaheim (CHL - 2018 Orr Cup Champions) Chicago Rivermen (UBA/WBL - 2014, 2015, 2017 Intercontinental Cup Champions) King's Own Hexham FC (BIP - 2022 Saint's Cup Champions) Portland Explorers (EFL - Elite Bowl XIX Champions) Real San Diego (UPL) Red Bull Seattle (ULL - 2018, 2019, 2020 Gait Cup Champions) Vancouver Huskies (CL)
Funky Bunky
I liked the pacing of the parade of nations, nice and fast. The cauldron lighting was a bit diasppointing. Paul McCartney sounded old. I expected more legendary rockers.Where was heavy metal in there salute to British Music. No Iron Maiden, No Ozzy, No Queit Riot, No Led Zepplin WTF. No punk either, Come on London Calling Muhammad Ali very sad, he does not look like he even knows where he is any more.Quiet Riot is American. pmoehrin
Here is something NBC left out last nighthttp://deadspin.com/...want-you-to-seeI would think its more of an oversight then anything else, but regardless of the reason pretty big error on the part of NBC I'd say. Kevin W.
Mock the Week is amazing.Yes it is. I would give anything to see it broadcast on BBC America. Eye
Hey, everyone, if you don't like NBC showing things on tape delay, don't watch it on their {one and a half minute tape delayed) online feed either. NBC still makes $$$ from people watching it online. Watch it illegally online somewhere, it's all out there. I don't care if I have to watch in Afrikaans or whatever I was listening in, at least I got to see it live as opposed to a minute and a half behind like the NBC feed was.Endorsing illegal activity? I thought the counterfeit jersey thread was where to go for that. The minute and a half tape delay for the online feed doesn't bother me; what pisses me off is the spoilers on NBC's website. Yahoo in their link to for information on the race Phelps and Lochte are in have a spoiler alert, but NBC does not.
FiddySicks
Something that I just realized about this years olympics that's pretty cool is that Holley Mangold, the first female non kicker to ever play in an Ohio State 3A high school football game and who is the younger sister of Jets center Nick Mangold, is competing in weightlifting. I think his teammates were gonna tell him to go, but I haven't heard if he did or not. I don't pay attention to the Jets. I don't pay attention to the Jets. She was on an episode of MTV's "True Life" where cameras followed her as she trained. Nick Mangold was on the show and he came off as kind of a dick to her. It was a little disappointing.

NJTank
Excellent you came into a thread of people talking about the Olympics just to say you are not intersted in the Olympics. You know I am not intersted in most of the Concept forum, and thus I never read any of it. If you dont like the Olympics dont read this thread. www.sportsecyclopedia.com For the best in sports history go to the Sports E-Cyclopedia at http://www.sportsecyclopedia.com
officeglenn
The swimming colour commentator here on the Canadian broadcasts is driving me nuts. Every single race, her voice shakes and she sounds like she's so excited that she's going to burst into tears.
