I can't see the link because I'm on my phone and the link is built in Flash, but please tell me the Bucs hat is red or black and not pewter.

Story B: Red Wings go undefeated and score 100 goals in every game. They also beat a team comprised of Godzilla, the ghost of Abraham Lincoln, 2 Power Rangers and Betty White. Oh, and they played in the middle of Iraq on a military base. In the sand. With no ice. Santa gave them special sand-skates that allowed them to play in shorts and t-shirts in 115 degree weather. Jesus, Zeus and Buddha watched from the sidelines and ate cotton candy.

I would get one if they weren't damn flatbills. At least you could wear a RBK flexfit like a normal baseball cap.

You know you can bend the bills of the caps so they curve, right?

That's like saying "Why not just iron out the curve of Flexfit?" Sure you can, doesn't mean it will look right.

Derek Lowe does it and it looks pretty much like what a flex fit does. Flex fits are not made to be flattened, but these 59Fiftys can be curved.

This is what they should have done since Draft Day. Use the 5950 fitted, and they can just be re-used until someone changes their logo. Hope it has the NFL shield on the back, and not the font of the team, or helmet.

Definitely getting a Packers one.

I'd like to see the Lombardi cap added as a Packers alternate.

Mitchell & Ness came out with one like that.

Albeit ugly as sin. And a snapback.

Except for the fact that I'm 99% certain that is a low-rise version of the 5950, which comes with a natural bend in the cap.

The point is, I know I'm in the minority. But for the few of us who enjoy wearing our baseball caps like actual baseball caps, there is way too much room in the crown of the cap for it to be wearable.

I understand where you are coming from. But I think the reason why to me it's not that big of a deal is because these caps aren't used on the field of play. These are just worn on the sideline for the five minutes the players are there before they have to hit the field again. Unlike baseball caps which actually serve a purpose to the game itself, these in a sense to me are fashion caps so the fact that they are flat or curved doesn't matter to me because caps aren't essential to the NFL

Wow, that's actually really nice. I'm still not a huge fan of the pewter color being used as the base, but the contrasting bill and button actually make that a VERY nice looking cap. If the pewter color was black, it'd be the exact hat I've been wanting for years now.

You read my mind - I just finished a blog post for tomorrow hoping for the exact same thing. Maybe if we all send them Facebook comments?

I want 47 Brand to do the exact same thing. My favorite Packers logo on my favorite unstructured cap? Can't lose.

I have low-rise and regular 5950s. The brims are not different RE: natural bend. All 5950s are made to have the brim bent, but they are shipped with the brims flat. They do this so the buyer can bend them to his specifications. If you keep the brim flat, the hat will not fit accurately on the head. The areas of the headband by the corners of the brim stick out and don't touch your head unless you put a bend in the brim. There is a little too much crown in the 5950s for my taste, but that has nothing to do with the brims being curved or flat.

Not a fan. Red is their primary color, so the hat should be red. Pewter doesn't translate as a flat color. This would be the PERFECT opportunity for New Era to use the shiny metallic fabric they formerly used for the Astros, Mariners and Dodgers. Make a red hat with a shiny pewter brim and it would be incredible.

I can only speak from personal experience, but my Tigers low-rise came with a slight bend already made. Maybe that was the outlier, but that's how mine came.

Also, it looks like with the two-tone bill (one color on top, another on the bottom), that it may have added some extra thickness to the bill, which may make it harder to put a good bend in the cap. Again, I can only go off of the preview images... but that's what it looks like.

Can't go wrong with these. They only knock on them might be that they're safe, but I have no problem with that. QC with 5950s is another issue, though. I hope it's getting better as opposed to worse, because it was already pretty bad.

I still don't have a website, but I have a dribbble now! http://dribbble.com/andyharry

From what I read from the new era website a while ago if I remember correctly was that they are made to wear both as a flat brim and curved and once it was curved you could flatten it out and it wouldn't effect the shape.

The Bucs & Lions look bad, but IMO any cap where the brim is darker than the crown looks bad.

Apart from that, on the whole a pretty sweet set of caps, so nice to finally see something for the NFL which hasn't been way overdesigned.

I don't think it's been mentioned but the Chargers' cap is powder blue, straight pandering to the fans or a potential sign of things to come?

red logo on a red background? no, i love the way they did it. the pewter is working. all the teams should follow that; haveing the logo on a different color background. Bills especially

Ugh, not a big fan of the Bucs using two different colors for brim and hat. I've never been a fan of that. I like one solid, unless there is a design or something that is a different color, but overall one base color.

The logos are a little big, seem too big, from the pictures. But I like these much better than the draft hats. I've never bought or liked the draft hats in many many years before, so I shouldn't be surprised or let down I didn't like and buy this years.

This is what I wanted from New Era though, a team color hat with the logo on the front. Just would prefer all teams be solid color.

And someone said something about the Bucs logo on a red hat, red logo on red hat. Why not? There is a red logo on their red jerseys. I wish they would have made it all red or all black or even all pewter. Just not the different color brim, looks weird to me.

Wouldn't look too much into it. Dolphins have a teal and orange cap but I don't believe that's a sign of full-time orange jerseys

Then you should buy the right size that fits you. All 80 of my caps have bends in the curve and I have no problem with them. If you buy the wrong size hat, then you'll look like a moron.

All of mine were bought at Lids, and are all high crown version. Bend the brim properly (While on your head, and bend equally) and eventually your hat will fit right. Bend the brim in store before you buy it.

It's not some magical process to wear a hat, bend it and it'll work.

No matter what the prevailing opinion is here on the boards, I'll always love flat-billed fitted caps and groan at the site of snapbacks.
