Here is another view of the changes to our uniform. As well as the helmet changes, the numbers are now solid red and "Arkansas" across the front is red instead of grey.

Probably the biggest change Bielema has brought in my opinion is going with the plain black cleats and black gloves like Wisconsin. We've long worn white cleats and predominantly white gloves at Arkansas.

I can't sign off on the grey on the backside of the helmet. Totally ruins it for me. Bring back the McFadden era unis. Classic.

I'd rather Arkansas look a little different and have goofy helmets than look exactly like Oklahoma, especially considering the proximity of the two schools.

Those were just modern day/updated versions of the uniform we had worn from like the 50's to the early 90's.

That was my thought. There was a U of U player that posted it on his FB. But, I doubted it. Especially since the U is trying to stay away from Native American imaginary.

Went to Mercer today for a media venture and took a lot of shots of the new stadium. Here are the uniforms in the football offices. Mercer is in their first year as an FCS program and will compete in the Southern Conference this year. Fun fact -- Tennessee sent them their old uniforms to practice in.

Here's their uniforms. I was surprised with their choice to go with a white facemask, but it's alright, especially on the road uni.

That's not surprising. It makes sense for Nike to outfit their most visible programs in their top-of-the-line equipment.

It makes sense for Nike, but USC didn't move to the pro combat template right away from the destroyer, or the speed machine template right away.

Also, the chain maille mesh template was available before last season when USC started wearing the speed machine template. How many teams wear a new template/uniform for only a season? Not many, especially when there aren't any other changes.

So, who else will be in the chain maille mesh template this season. We know Oregon, USC and Texas. Bama wore it in the NCG, but not sure about this season.
