Discogod
Bonus points for being in San Jose. When was this? The card is from the '97-'98 season, the same year the Warriors debuted those jerseys, but according to the mothership, Charlotte last wore those purple jerseys in '95-'96. Hmm...This photo should have been taken from the '97-'98 preseason.Yeah, the mothership's wrong (again). The Hornets wore the purple alts up until 1996-97, and that exhibition game vs. the Warriors on Oct. 10 1997 was the last time those alts were ever worn, since the Hornets changed unis that season. It's also a rare case of a team wearing new unis in the preseason, as typically teams will wait until the regular season starts to debut the new threads. Tarvis
Florida Marlins vs. Montreal Expos, 2004Considering where that pic was taken, that IS a rare matchup. That pic was taken at US Cellular Field in Chicago. Marks one of only two times the Marlins have played a home game outside of Miami.Marlins played a home series in Puerto Rico in 2010 against the Mets, and one in Seattle in 2011 against the Mariners. kansas sports fan
I don't have a pic, but the Royals only played the Washington Senators 34 times over the course of 3 years. Quote Acts 16:31 - And they replied: "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved, you and your household."John 3:16 - "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life."John 14:6 - Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."

I think they chose Chicago because it was open, a neutral AL park, and IIRC, the Marlins had just played a series in Milwaukee, so they could get there easily. Tifq76
The Houston Oilers only played the "newly formed" Carolina panthers once before they became the Titans! Can't seem to find a picture though.... happened on November 24, 1996. Help me find it!!!
Tifq76
Also here is the Oilers Jaguars - Happened 6 times though before the renaming. Only 4 times when Oilers were in Houston though.
Tifq76
..and here is a 1996 match of the pats in their old unis and the ravens with their shield helmets. The only match. Though the 96 season was filled with unique uni matches I guess since it was a one year uniform.
Corvus
mind = blownFor some reason they've been making replicas of that Canucks jersey and stocking them in stores around Vancouver. I don't get it, they weren't even popular when they were new. That jersey has a couple of interesting things going on, a phantom flying v homage, and the only red primary canucks jersey design ever made, unless you count the Orca gradient jersey, which I don't. Oh, also, that picture is also a rare match up as the Canucks wore that jersey with black socks for one year, and then red socks the second year of that jersey. FGM13
Yeah I found a few red/black diagonal jerseys at a Surrey SportChek priced at $135 the other day. Pretty expensive for a terrible, always unpopular jersey. Quote GO OILERS-GO BLUE JAYS-GO ESKIMOS-GO COLTS
