dbadefense1990
Considering they've had the Stadium Series and now a WCSF series, has there been any actual gain in terms of new SoCal fans to the Kings and Ducks? I mean, is it anywhere near what an inner-city rivalry should be? I'm not asking anyone in particular, just assuming the bloc that represents them well in this thread will expand on it.The best this Kings-Ducks rivalry would have hoped for was for the Warriors to have beaten the Clippers. If there are no local NBA teams left in that league's postseason, at least there's baseball, but Dodger fans have been apathetic and alienated by the whole TWC Sportsnet-LA fiasco. Hence, the next teams on the SoCal totem pole would be the Ducks and Kings; local media coverage would have been huge. But hence, basketball rules this city, so despite the fact that the majority of Los Angeles' basketball interests aligns with the Lakers, the local media keeps on pushing the Clippers down our throats, even if we're not Clipper fans or NBA fans in general.Actually when you think about it, even if the Clippers would have been eliminated by Golden State, I doubt Ducks-Kings would have superseded the whole saga of Douchelord Sterling in terms of local media interest. Honestly the LA market belongs to two teams the Lakers and Dodgers. Kershaw is GOD! Kershaw is LIFE! Kershaw is ALL!

Unocal
How the hell did this team lose 28 games again? This team can be 50+ wins good if they went all out every night like this. Are they literally a team with a WAKE US UP IN THE PLAYOFFS switch?
Kramerica Industries
Perry should've waited until it was Dustin Brown in that kind of position because, well, obviously.
Unocal
I don't know why, but there's something about the Kings that I can't root for. They just feel like a cold, corporate team whose hearts are made of computers and advanced stats. And they feel like a team that literally only does well in the playoffs- it's like they take the regular season for granted, like "Just get us to the playoffs and we'll flip the switch." I can't stomach an LA-Chicago rematch. Otherwise, go East.

oddball
I'm watching Bruce Boudreau's press conference and he looks defeated just like San Jose players looked at the end of Game 4 in the 1st Round. I'm not saying that the Kings are going to win, but when your head coach looks frustrated and snaps at a reporter's honest question, that's not a good sign. That almost sounds more like the Blackhawks than the Kings, who also dogged it this year and are among the more analytics-based teams in the league, but yes, there is a ruthless efficiency to the Kings' style of play. I believe I compared them in this thread to a Soviet tank. I would say the Hawks management goes harder on number-crunching if only because there's no point in crunching numbers if you ultimately have to give them to a coach who can't count to one, but I don't think Patrick Kane is cold and corporate. ♫ oh yeah, board goes on, long after the thrill of postin' is gone ♫
