Ditching the drop shadow thing is fine. Ditching tons of red is not.

Their site looks decent I suppose but all that black sucks.

I don't mind the new word mark, but I agree that the site primarily in black is odd.

Loved the original. The drop shadow was one of the few times it was acceptable. It was really fitting for a company that dealt in movies.

The new one is bland and completely devoid of any originality. Massive downgrade. In fact it reminds me a lot of the generic NFL wordmarks out there.

I would have at least like to have seen the same colour scheme carried over. I havent really cared for drop shadow except for the Rangers. Its not that noticable on the old look unless you look for it. I wonder how it would look if the old logo removed the drop shadow.

I loved the drop-shadow, but if they had to get rid of it, they at least could have kept the all-red look. I think that's what set them apart. Certain websites "own" a certain color (Facebook/blue, Twitter/light blue, etc) and white letters on red instantly says Netflix to me. Oh well, I'm sure in a couple months I'll be accustomed to the new look.
