If anything, the Eagles should wear all green a couple of times a year. It would look "kick-ass", with the black socks and black shoes. Especially, at night.

I know the Eagles went full-green shortly after making the switch to their current color scheme. I believe it was a Monday night game against the Cowboys. The green pants didn't look as good back then, though, with only a single black stripe down each side. Don't know if they've gone full-green since, but with the black socks, it could work. Oh, and those black socks are pretty much the reason I dig the Eagles pairing the black jersey with green pants. My favorite uniform setup, generally speaking, is having one color for the helmet and pants, and a second color for the jersey and socks. To me, it just looks so balanced.

They went all green against the Redskins once, and at least one other time (I think against the 49ers.) IIRC, both games were the final home regular-season games of those seasons. Not sure if they wore it a third time, but I def don't recall them playing Dallas in all green.

It was before the '03 updates, so the green pants had only one fat black stripe on them, and the numbers didn't have the gray trim. It did look really sharp IMO, and I think that it would look good with their current updated set. Definitely way better than the black jersey / green pants combo that they busted out (I think in) '04.

If we're thinking about the same game, it was actually against the 49ers.

Either way, here's a photo showing the uniforms you're talking about:

Oh--and Chawls, I'm in complete agreement about that Texans roadie (having been) one of the best in the League. Hopefully they'll rediscover those red socks outside of the times they dress up as human bloodclots and begin to wear them again with the white tops/navy bottoms.

No because when the Irish came to Ireland and first came in contact with the leprechaun people, they didn't take their land away and force them to move west. Instead, the two groups learned to assimilate peacefully. However, certain tribes of the leprechaun refused to taint the pure blood and moved north into the forests of Ireland, only to be seen rarely, usually at the same time of a rainbows appearance and occasionally at the factories of Lucky Charms.

There is a good reason they aren't being worn with the blue pants anymore.

Yes, there is. Players have horrible tastes and should have no input into uniform choice.

...neither should most owners, coaches, staff, fans, etc.

Owners, staff and coaches actually have a pretty good track record. Can't say the same about the athletes themselves.

New AFC and NFC logos (as I previously mentioned)...the guesses in this thread were pretty spot-on:

:blink::blink:

Yup... They made them even uglier.

Couple of questions, ColorWerx: Offhand, is it using the same font as the NFL shield (I believe it's called Endzone.) Also, are the official vectors versions (which I assume will be leaked in due time) of each letter the same height? Because the older logos had a slightly higher "N."

Actually, I retract what I said. I made unofficial vectors of the two logos, shrunk them down to a smaller size, and they actually don't look half bad. At large sizes, yes, they're ugly, but when shrunk down, they aren't so bad.

Plus, I've looked at them several times now and they really aren't too bad. I'm sure we'll get used to them in due time.
