They had an opportunity to add a really nice black alt, and completely screwed it up. Thin orange outline, uninspired patch, and unreadable lettering. No gold dropshadow, yet another consistency problem. The Giants haven't done anything right with their uniforms since adding the orange jersey in 2010. The headspoon piping is really annoying, but the real travesty of that switch was changing the awesome sleeve patch they had to the ball over wordmark patch, which looks fine on the home set but looks like crap on the grey jerseys. I don't even mind the headspoon piping on the grey, orange, and black alts. But they should've kept the home and road untouched. Even if it would've looked a bit more disconnected, it doesn't matter.
