Speaking of that, does anyone think we need to make a 24 hour exception to that suspension if the Mets end up going all the way?

No? Me either.

It's weird having four teams left and I don't dislike any of them. I'm pulling for the Cubs but would be pretty happy seeing any of the remaining teams win it all.

Watching Terry Collins celebrate with all the Mets fan was pretty damn cool!

First series win in 9 years!

Never, ever expected this at the start of the year. I just really, really wish it wasn't this Cubs team next, and not just because they're damn good......

------

Side note, is there a single human being on this earth who would have honestly predicted 6 months ago that the last 4 standing would be the Royals, the Blue Jays, the Cubs and the Mets?

Get used to Dodgers success, cuz it's gonna last a while. After Greinke wipes the floor with the Mets tonight they'll make short work of the Cubbies. Scully will probably have a pre-taped message ready for the World Series after they win the pennant.

Guess the Dodgers just weren't ready this year.

Well Friedman, you've seen a year of bullpen ineptitude, bed wetting with RISP, a revolving door at the back end of the rotation, and game management by Magic 8 Ball. You've got your work cut out for you this winter.

Because Tnak can't, I'll do it for him.

Hopefully the Dodgers can Mattingly in the offseason and bring in Dusty Baker like some rumors have stated.

Team not-Dodgers has done it! Now, I'm happy with any potential champion!

In all seriousness, I'm so happy for the Mets. I'm pulling for the Cubs (especially given my affinity for Chicago), but I'd still be happy if the Mets took home the pennant. On the AL side, I'm happy with either the Royals or Blue Jays winning the ALCS.

Daniel Murphy is my favorite non Giants player ever right now.

I know he's against it, but I want to marry him right now.

:censored:, I wanna name my first three daughters after him!

BTW, anyone see this tonight? What was that all about? I can't see Mattingly being brought back next year after all the losses.

Both LCS's are going to be good (and still would've been had the Dodgers won, so the outcome of tonight I feel was win-win either way). And the parity fan in me is loving the fact that because there's no Yankees/Red Sox/Cardinals/Giants influence, I can just sit back and enjoy this whole thing play out no matter who wins.

I'll preface this by saying I would be completely fine with the Cubs proving me wrong, but I still stand by my earlier thoughts that the Mets are my favorite to take it all. It's sure going to be close though, as I could really see a case for any of the three other teams to pull through. I just can't count out Harvey-deGrom-Syndergaard at the moment, not to mention the uncanny knack thier lineup has for players producing big at the right time (Murphy, Cespedes, Granderson, etc).

All I know for certain is that I haven't been this excited about the Postseason in a while. I'm just rooting for good games, and I believe we're going to get a whole lot of them.

Blue Jays

Royals

Mets

Cubs

...one of those is your World Series champion. Bryce Harper, is your popcorn ready?

I've not seen a ton of NL baseball in my life... I think tonight was the first time I've ever personally seen a closer pitch to a fellow closer batting. r.i.p. 2 inning closers

This is the kind of postseason I would love even if my team wasn't in it. I think this series against the Royals is gonna be intense and a lot of fun, and after that not only am I terrified of New York and Chicago but I really don't want to play the Cubs in the World Series.
