Well yeah, of course. The traffic they’re going to get from just bored ASU students alone is going to fill that place. I mean, what else better do most ASU students have to do? Play another game of beer pong and try to get into that ehh looking girl from Encino’s pants again?

Gary Bettman bought them all and gave them away to local members of the hispanic community, who thought they were going to a soccer game.

I wouldn't be surprised if (or should I say when) they fail to fill the building, Gary Bettman will pay for seat fillers.

They'll need an instructor to remind them to make noise and cheer on cue lol.

Gary doesn't a honk anymore. He's retiring in like 11 minutes and the Coyotes are Bill Daly's problem then.

Not defending the Coyotes, but the East Metropolitan area of Phoenix are where most of the fans are. I have no doubt that the East Valley fans are buying up the crap that is going on in the Mullett Arena. West Part of Phoenix doesn't care and never will. This is more of a football community then they are Hockey.

And that’s the other thing to keep in mind. They’re like Vegas in that their location lends to their fanbase being about as transient as possible. It’s all a smokescreen to cover up just how few people locally give a 💩 about them. That’s probably less of a case in Vegas right now, but give it a decade. None of this is sustainable long term. Kind of like Phoenix and Vegas as cities, really 🤷‍♂️

What owner in their right minds would buy the team and agree to that? No one in Arizona wants the team. No new owner from elsewhere will buy the team with the thought of keeping them there. And the city can’t keep the current owners from selling to who ever they want.

This is not at all how businesses work. The Coyotes - as an entity - would be the ones agreeing to the 30 year clause, not the owners. Any subsequent owners would still be beholden to it. They are agreeing to it by buying the team that has the clause in place. The city can't stop the owners from selling, but they can stop the team from bailing on its agreement.

I also don't get why everyone here is acting like this is so abnormal. Every stadium or arena that gets built - or even renovated -  using public money does this exact same thing. Why would a city put money into a building just for the team to move two seconds later? This is how teams get public money for stadiums, by giving up the right to relocate within a certain period of time.

Here in Indy, I believe the Pacers just agreed to a 20-year lease just to have the building renovated. The Colts signed something similar when their stadium was built.

What about the last 13 years of this organization did you find normal?

Czech government: Nashville Predators, San Jose Sharks Russian players unwanted in Prague

A thousand pardons of this ranges too close to the whole “no politics” thing we’ve got going here, but I figured this was important.

"I know those loser Canadians are going to make fun of us for using a :censored:ing pipe-and-drape set for a dressing room like it's a regional trade show for paper salesmen but this is totally normal and players are used to this." Well, I'm glad Ridleylash got a day job in media.

If you think the "temporary" visitors locker room is bad , the Coyotes "permanent" locker room isnt much better. Also peep the shower signage. How very college  of the dude holding a shower beer.

Also the final product of the "temporary" visitors locker room somehow looks better than the Coyotes permanent locker room.
