OnWis97
Danny Green is going to the Finals. That makes 35 straight Finals that have included a teammate of Shaq. https://www.google.com/amp/s/clutchpoints.com/there-are-only-5-teams-that-can-win-a-championship-because-of-shaq/amp/ 2 Quote Disclaimer: If this comment is about an NBA uniform from 2017-2018 or later, do not constitute a lack of acknowledgement of the corporate logo to mean anything other than "the corporate logo is terrible and makes the uniform significantly worse." Classic "Nothing to see here," right? LOL A similar situation could happen again later this season, also involving the Yankees, of course dependent on pitching rotations and injuries, etc. When the Yankees visit the Dodgers on August 23-24-25, if Hyun-Jin Ryu pitches to Aaron Judge, it will be the first 99 vs. 99 ever. floydnimrod
I feel like this one's pretty common knowledge at this point, but Khris Davis has .247 each of the past four seasons. The Cincinnati Reds also have a 9 game winning streak in the World Series. Sammy Sosa his 50+ home runs four times, and three of them were 60+ home run seasons. Hank Aaron never hit 50 home runs in a season, and his career high, 47, came when he was 37. 1 Quote Mancakes: The Bandhttps://twitter.com/FloydNimrod

This is similar to how the Marlins have never lost a playoff series. I realized this 5 or 6 years ago and it's a fun thing to say when the team is on a losing streak. Like they lose again and you go to anybody and nobody in particular, "you know the Reds are on a 9 game winning streak in the World Series?".

Fitzy0220
Pittsburgh Pirates Hockey Club (1925 - 1930) were the First NHL team to: - Pirates coach Odie Cleghorn, introduce the idea of Changing players on the fly - set an NHL record for largest salary paid to a player, Lionel Conacher signed a 3yr / $7,500 contract (we're talking 1920s here) - Pirates coach Odie Cleghorn, used 3 sets of forwards (NHL standard back then was to leave best players on the ice the whole game) - First Pittsburgh based team to wear the colors Black and Yellow Gold (Pirates/ MLB wore Red / White / Blue uniforms)(Steelers / NFL weren't born until 1933) - 4 Pirates Players are in the Hockey Hall of Fame - when the Pittsburgh Penguins changed uniform colors from Blue / White to Black / Gold mid season (Jan 1980), the Boston Bruins protested the color change, the NHL cited the Pirates Hockey Club had worn Black / Gold while the Bruins had worn Brown / Gold (during the same time frame) thus the NHL allowed the Pens to change color schemes City of Pittsburgh and the game of Hockey have a long history dating back 1895 (this is why it cracks me up when opposing fans say Pittsburgh isn't a Hockey City, sure Pittsburgh is a Football first City but only because Hockey isn't as popular across the US) - First United States City to Professionalize the game of Ice Hockey (1890s) - WPHL (Western Pennsylvania Hockey League) ran from 1896 - 1908 - played games at Schenley Park Casino - also played games at Duquesne Gardens - first League to openly Hire players (ie Paid their players to play) - 6 Players from the WPHL are in the Hockey hall of Fame
~Bear
The 1996-1997 NFL season was the last time all 4 teams that participated in the previous year's conference championship games (Colts, Cowboys, Packers, Steelers) made it back to the playoffs. Since then, at least 1 team has missed the playoffs the following year.
