So I doubt that it will be a change of colours or of logos. I will guess that it is something like the publishing of a uniform schedule for a team that has multiple variations, as opposed to the usual practice of leaving the choice to that day's starting pitcher. I don't mind the navy under the road grays but I love the mid90s look and feel of the red undershirts with the home and navy jerseys. I've always known the similarities between the Rockies and the White Sox home jerseys but man this was the first time I literally had to stop and think harder. Embroidered patches are nice, but chromaflex looks so much sharper IMO. It also allows them to do so much more in terms of depth and color. They're MUCH richer and cleaner than the old embroidered patches. Here are a few of mine. You can see how the metallic really stands out, and that 2013 All Star game logo is particularly beautiful. The transparent orange and blue coloring really gives the logo depth that was previously impossible. The Indians wore navy undershirts and socks with the navy jerseys on the road back in the mid-90s, so what they're doing this year (navy accessories on the road, red accessories at home) is actually right in line with their glory days. Personally, I like it. The color balance of red socks/shirts with an all-navy hat always seemed off to me last year. If they are doing this to have a year-long victory lap, I think it's overkill. If they are doing this because of the response from the players and fans (which is what they say), I like it a lot.
