so after 2 rounds, whose brackets are still together?

My final four is correct, but I missed one in getting there. I had the Raiders instead of Houston losing to NE.

I appreciate that the Packers and Patriots have both blocked the Steelers from getting more Lombardis but I've got to admit the urge for parity rises ever greater knowing the same damn teams get in all the time. It's great when it's your guys but as I get older, I realize dynasties truly make sports more boring.

Go Matty Ice and the New Englanders. All the concussions for Big Ben.

"And then I remember to relax, and stop trying to hold on to it, and then it flows through me like rain and I can't feel anything but gratitude for every single moment of my stupid little life... You have no idea what I'm talking about, I'm sure. But don't worry... you will someday."

Mike McCarthy is one of the worst coaches with a good record of all-time.

He, Ted Thompson, and Dom Capers are not good.

Imagine if they DIDN'T have Aaron Rodgers bailing them out.

Let's face it- are we sure Green Bay's roster man-for-man outside of QB's (Rodgers and a healthy Carr) is better than, say, Oakland or Kansas City?

Good one ;)

Boy am I glad to come out of KC with a win. I knew it was a possibility, but I felt the pressure of the Arrowhead crowd would be a negative factor for the Steelers. Turns out it wasn't. The defense played very well. But we need to score in the red zone against New England, they'll make you pay for kicking field goals.

Also, go Falcons.

Steelers/Falcons would be ok I guess. Don't really like the Steelers because Dallas fan, but screw the Patriots. Also, while I respect the Pack after that fight tonight, ain't no way in hell I want them to win a ring. Plus Falcons are new blood and boy do we need that.

Honestly, I don't think he's completely wrong. McCarthy has done very little with what he's had to work with over the years IMO.

BTW, on a separate note, losing a game against a team who scores no touchdowns and kicks six field goals is the most Kansas City Chiefs way to lose a game I've ever seen.

To the Cowboys fans on this site:

Was today's loss more or less hard to swallow than the Giants game 10 years ago?

There were a few similarities: 13-3 #1 seed, beat by a 10-6 team.

I think this one hurt me more because I bought in. I was against drafting a RB at 4 overall, against Romo not getting his job back, and I was waiting for the bottom to fall out.

Then it didn't. They got better and the weird o-line picks from the last few years (when the defense was dying) turned into the best line in the league. Then the rookies I didn't believe in flourished behind the that line. I bought in, and then the bottom fell out when it mattered the most.

Granted they fought like hell and the future is bright, but this felt like destiny. I saw Crosby totally miss that kick. Then I realized it was destiny for Green Bay when the kick curved back at the last second for the win.

Forgetting McCarthy for a second, Capers is one of the most respected defensive coaches of his generation and 90% of teams or more would jump at the chance to have Ted Thompson running their organization.

BTW, on that separate note, I searched briefly but couldn't find the answer...when was the last time an NFL team won a playoff game without scoring a touchdown?

Off the top of my head, the Colts beat the Ravens in 2006 15-6.

Ok JJ Watt, but was Andre Johnson really a "star"? I remember when I used to do fantasy football that he was really really good, but if the average fan saw him walking down the street would they know who he was? "Great player" doesn't necessarily mean "star".

He wasn't a recognizable star in the way Watt is, but he's still 11th on the NFL all time receiving yards list. He'll almost definitely make the Pro and College Football HOFs.

Harrison slipped more than anything, but of course the Steelers get that break. They always get that break and their own offense has been getting away with that call all season long.

This is the worst sport.

No argument, but that really doesn't mean anything when it comes to becoming a nationally or internationally recognized and followed team, unless it translates into multiple SBs that force people to see him play on a big stage.

Also:

I watched the 2nd half of GB/DAL, and the whole PGH/KC games - pretty much the most non-Eagles FB I've watched all year (and even then, I only watched 3 or 4 Eagles games.

Do people finally understand why we hated Andy Reid as coach?  Guy makes it to the end of the game with 1 time-out, and the 2 he used were in situations that could easily have been avoided.  He did this all the time.  He's an absolute IDIOT when it comes to clock management - has been for all 18 years of his career, and is too stubborn to have some other coach advise him.  The guy simply does NOT deserve to ever win, because he doesn't do what it takes to improve himself- as a coach or as a man.

My heart says go Falcons - like we've said, it's new blood. Obviously even slightly rooting for any AFC team is out of the question, and the Packers are the Packers. But if I'm rooting with my head, I'd say go Packers. I'd hate it more than anyone if during the Super Bowl we had nothing but Buck and Aikman gushing over how great Rodgers is, but let's face it, imo the Pack have a greater chance of beating the Pats or Steelers.

Anyway, as most people have said, this season stinks. I'm off to watch Liverpool and the Caps
