The 4th-largest point spread in playoff history probably had a big hand in that....

I did remember that shortly after posting. Fair point, but despite what Vegas says, any sensible fan knows you never downplay your opponent or act overconfident in the playoffs. The amount of annoying overconfidence from the 2007 Super Bowl was enough for a lifetime around these parts.

This game is so damn frustrating. It's been sorta close, but not really close enough at any point to really make you think the Texans may win. It's fun to see how frustrated Brady is with that defense but it'll ultimately just be one of those moments of "Oh haha that was the slight amount of frustration we faced on our way to another Superbowl win. Silly us! lol."

What a dog :censored: game. Texans are absolutely worthless.

I hate to say it but I think whoever wins the AFC championship (Pit vs. NE) will win the Super Bowl.

I HATE that this is already taken as a foregone conclusion, but it pretty much is. I'd be absolutely floored if Kansas City won tomorrow.

I'm clever, I know. I couldn't find a picture, but it was utter despair. Not as funny as his reaction to the Butler interception, but just as satisfying.

Edit: It was after the final Falcons TD if anyone has the ability to screencap the telecast.

Patriots up by 1 felt like being down 9.  Patriots being up 10 felt like being down by 4.  The Texans threw all their money at the QB position & now that's one of their biggest weaknesses.  How very AFC South of them.

The next Dion Lewis ball on the ground will be his last snap of the season.

Nothing in sports is quite as joyless as a Patriots win

Close on in this. If the steelers win, it will be the second of terrible matchups for myself.

steelers dolphins

steleers pats.

Three out of my four most hated teams playing each other( 4x 1 and 4x2 respectfully)

i hate these playoffs.

The Seahawks losing getting destroyed was so satisfying. I kinda wanted the Falcons to just go for the TD instead of the kneel-down at the end of the game, just to see Pete Carroll's reaction. I gotta say, the Falcons have definitely impressed me. They might actually have a chance at going to the Super Bowl (or maybe even winning it).

The Texans-Patriots game is exactly what I expected. Boring, dull, and underwhelming. Houston is so close to being a very good team, but the QB situation is an issue. I'll gave Osweiler this much, as least he made the playoffs (his former team didn't even make it). The Patriots winning is always going to be depressing, but I think what's even more depressing is that Brady and Belichick act like it's all too easy.

All of those LeBatard jokes about Arthur Blank are true.

Arthur Blank looks like one of them evil railroad barons from the 1920s silent movie.

Arthur Blank looks like the businessman who is going to destroy the habitat of an endangered woodland bird to build a shopping mall.

Arthur Blank looks like he has ghosts in his house.

Arthur Blank looks like Fredo from The Godfather if he was still around.

Fact - if you have a guy that you're not using, and Billicek wants him, there's probably a reason for it.  They did it again this year with Eric Rowe.

He loves the "open box special/bruised fruit/dented can". He loves to take the injured or "problem" player get the most out of him and throw him away in two or three seasons.

Dillon

Moss

Welker

Blount (He's cut him before)

Floyd

Or rids himself of guys:

I've been waiting for this specific AFC Championship matchup for 13 damned years. I'm still pissed about the 2004 AFC Championship, and frankly it's the reason I'm a Pats hater. I would love nothing more than to beat the Evil Empire in their place with a trip to the Super Bowl on the line.

Of course we have to get by KC first, which won't be easy.

That was...weird. While technically a "blowout" I never got the feeling it was. It always seemed close. Next week will be extremely tough, regardless of whether it's Kansas City or Pittsburgh. Here's to a great game! Good luck to both teams tomorrow.
