AndrewMLind Posted June 9, 2019 Share Posted June 9, 2019 I personally prefer red and gray over red and blue or red and yellow when it comes to the Rockets, but acknowledge the team needs a new look because they couldn’t shoehorn the shoulder design into Nike’s smaller template. If I have anything that counts as a “guilty pleasure uniform”, this Hawks uniform is it. It’s hideous, but I love it. As someone else alluded to, actual imagery of the team can be welcomed at times. As for yellow, I have an educated guess that the Hawks are switching to yellow, replacing volt. This looks nothing remotely space-like, but the reveal video makes it look like the Death Star from Star Wars. I can't stop getting a Space Jam vibe from both of them, but the one in the video with some actual detail is much cooler looking. It shows the full ring around the planet (not the disappearing one of the logo, as has been pointed out), and the shadowing on the R gives it some life/matches better.
