Book this: Reds and Indians finally meet in the World Series for the first time ever and none of the games are played in Ohio. Only the third time they've both made the playoffs in the same season.

A Cubs-White Sox world series at a neutral site would be just as weird.

I saw, I came, I left.

"You know, I feel like we should move on and forgive the Astros.  I mean, how much impact could their cheating have had?"

"Ah, nevermind.  Screw that franchise."

The Twins have just lost their 17th consecutive playoff game!  That's the most amazing losing streak in sports history.  In theory, if you make the playoffs, you should be good enough to win a few of those games.  Most of them are against the Yankees, but this one, along with 18  were against a sub-.500 team.

Disclaimer: If this comment is about an NBA uniform from 2017-2018 or later, do not constitute a lack of acknowledgement of the corporate logo to mean anything other than "the corporate logo is terrible and makes the uniform significantly worse."

Same ol sorry ass A’s and Twins. MLB shouldn’t even grant them playoff spots any longer. They’re the ultimate filler teams.

That is incredible. They always say the playoffs are a crapshoot or a coin toss, and yet the Twins can't accidentally win one game.

In that same vein I'm looking forward to seeing which pathetic playoff franchise wins out between the Braves and Reds. The Braves have lost 9 straight playoff matchups. The city of Cincinnati hasn't advanced in a postseason since 1995. My money is on Covid cancelling the season right before Game 3.

If past trends hold up, the Reds should win that series.

Since 1997, the Braves have been eliminated from the playoffs with a home loss on ten different occasions. They also lost the 2012 wild card game at home. They also were eliminated on the final day of the season in 2011 after losing and the Cardinals winning, capping a September collapse. If I remember the numbers I looked up a few weeks ago, I think the Braves are 17-28 or so in their last 45 home playoff games.

Which isn't as astonishing as the Twins losing 17 straight playoff games altogether, but it's pretty grim.

When it comes to the playoffs, Minnesota should just be called T___S.

St. Louis huffing their magic BS again.

Team has the opposite problem of a lot of teams(coughtwinscough), they somehow forget to show up in the regular season, but never fail to in the postseason.

Poor Padres. Makes me wish Red Sox traded Mookie to them. What a team that would be.

EDIT: Looks like I spoke too soon.
