Germanshepherd
Honestly the four teams have been pretty cut and dry almost every year, I don’t think the committee has been in the position where it “has” to rig for the big brands enough to say that’s what they always do. Unless you’re a G5 homer (which respect, I am as well, but it’s an unpopular cause) the only P5 teams with a legit case that they were screwed were 2014 TCU/Baylor, whose conference made screwing them mighty easy, and 2017 Wisconsin, who I don’t remember much uproar about. 2 Quote i have unquantifiable corpses on my conscience

heavybass
The Committee wanted 2 unbeaten sides to face off for the title... except Michigan did no favors.

I already added my thoughts on this earlier but I can’t go on without adding this. George Pickens out almost all of 2021, AD Mitchell out almost all of 2022. Both with major long term injuries. Georgia’s opponents aren’t the only ones with injuries. I could also add that Georgia has missed its best linebacker and team captain since about week 7 (out for the season) and a senior OL that we replaced in the Peach Bowl with another five star underclassman. It’s next man up. I guess Bama and Ohio State just didn’t have a next man up on the depth chart.

This is silly. We’re not supposed to want anything, these two teams are usually just the most dominant teams in the country.

What ever shall we do? A matchup like Georgia-TCU is refreshing and not mind numbing. I hope next year is PAC-12 vs ACC and the year after is AAC vs Big 12. GDAWG
Unless he becomes the next Brock Purdy at the next level, the CFP is likely the best we'll see of Stetson Bennett as a QB.

I'm having the opposite of a brain freeze. My brain thawed and came to life watching TCU bring its brand of silly football to the CFP. The only way I could be happier is if a random Sun Belt team, like say Arkansas State were to be TCU's opposition. Just a random team I picked for no reason.

I hate that it’s Bama OSU every year, I absolutely love that an underdog snuck in. I’m saying that you are acting like you have some niche opinion which is clearly held by everyone No one wants Bama osu that isn’t an alum of either school, duh. But these two teams (+Clemson) have clearly been the class of the NCAA in that time… so what’s your actual point?

Getting Alabama, Ohio State, Clemson every year is tiresome. That’s my point. Clearly everyone outside of current students and alumni doesn’t want it. So again, Georgia-TCU is a breath of fresh air. I hope more random matchups like this keep happening. It feels like a mid-level bowl game that didn’t expect to get the big hitters.
MJWalker45
Of all the games today, I would have thought the 28-0 score line would have been Tulane vs USC and not Purdue getting whooped by LSU. I probably should have seen that second score anyways.
FiddySicks
From having a shot at the playoff to losing to Tulane in the Cotton Bowl two games later. Life sure came fast at USC. sky1324
USC needs to hire a tackling coach. If anyone on that defense could make a real tackle the Trojans would've won by three touchdowns. Unacceptable performance to cap off a season full of "what could've been"s. Quote the user formerly known as cdclt
Germanshepherd
So overjoyed for Tulane. 2 wins a season ago, Cotton Bowl champs over a team on the playoff’s doorstep this season. Between them, TCU, UConn and New Mexico State (taking those last two teams who could have dropped football to Bowl eligibility is crazy), this has been the year of the turnaround. 1 2 Quote i have unquantifiable corpses on my conscience
