I think stripes on white pants paired with striped, white socks is a good look.  Where the the Jags, Saints and other go wrong is with plain white pants paired with plain white socks.

Personally that's a no for me, even with the thick socks. I much prefer the 60's version of the Pat Patriot look with red socks.

This may not count because the socks have stripes (so do the pants, totally unlike the Jaguars)

The Seahawks release these “Tune In” promo graphics each week and they have had the right uni combo all year… this weeks promo had a picture of the white/grey combo. I have a screenshot in my camera roll but idk how to include that here

Do you happen to have a link because I have noticed that trend as well this season but I could not find that post on any of their social media. I would be very surprised to see the white/grey be the uniform choice this week as they have only worn it once against the 49ers which was in 2012 and they lost that game. After 2012 that uniform combo has only been worn once per season at most so if they were to choose something other than white/navy I would guess it would be white/white.

I was willing to let it slide on the basis of "superstition" last year, but they lost at home, in white, during the postseason. Wearing white, at home, AT NIGHT, in the playoffs after all of that is just garbage. As a fan, I'm definitely not a fan.

They are invoking the Cowboys blue jersey curse. Did you really think a team that wears white at home frequently wouldn't attempt this in a Playoff game?

Considering they have a history of white at home, as not a fan (although I am a fan of Brady), I think at least from a visual standpoint this matchup will look good. I personally hate the Cowboys white uniforms with the 50 different blues and 10 different grays. I prefer Cowboys in their blue uniform because all the blues are, well, "uniform". Cowboys in blue over actual gray with Bucs in white over pewter I think is gonna be visually a better looking game.

I mostly agree with this, but there’s still just something about the Bucs red jerseys that feels off, and it annoys me. Something about the old set with the new logos, colors and template doesn’t work with the red jersey, and I can’t quite put my finger on what it is.

I love the red jersey and I believe you'd like it better if they actually wore it more. But it also could be the fact that Nike version is missing the sheen that the Reebok set had.

If Dallas' flat silver pants had a little more blue in them, I"d never want to see the white jersey again. not as much blue as the home pants, but something other than plain light grey.

That's part of it.

I think the other and more noticeable part (and @FiddySicks I've been thinking the same thing for a while) is that 1) the current red jerseys are actually a touch bit brighter/lighter than the '97-'12 red jerseys (probably owing the change in fabrics that Nike uses currently), and 2) the collars only have that slight trim of black on it while the former Reds had a full black collar. Along with that, the "pewter" pants are more like too-dark charcoal gray (which only enhances how bright the current red is). It's missing that slight brownish undertone that distinguished the former pewter--that itself was helped by being in dazzle fabric (though thr players constantly complained of how hot those pants were).

I hope the Jags don't go white/white/white in the Super Bowl. Hopefully the NFC team chooses to wear their white jerseys for the game.

Whooooaaaa there kemosabe...shoot I'd like to see the Jags in the big game myself, but let's take this thing one week at a time 😄
