I always likes when teams added color to the endzones for the playoffs.  Bucs have done this before as well.

I wish Madden 23 would update the 49ers midfield logo. They have the helmet on the end-zone that you see on the twitter video on the midfield in the game. They updated the Browns midfield logo when Cleveland introduced the elf, but not the 49ers?

EA is clueless and lazy. They had the Jags with teal end zones all year even though they didn’t do it until last week. They also have so many inaccurate uniforms.

What I would like to see this weekend while being realistic.

SEA (Navy/White/Navy/Navy) at SF (Gold/Red/Gold/Red)

LAC (White/White/White/Powder) at JAX (Black/Teal/White/Black)

MIA (White/White/Teal/Teal) at BUF (White/Blue/White/Blue)

NYG (Blue/White/White/Red) at MIN (Purple/Purple/White/Purple)

BAL (Black/White/Purple/Black) at CIN (Orange/Black/White/Orange

DAL (Silver/Navy/Silver/Navy) at TB (Pewter/White/Pewter/Black)

I much prefer plain numbers.  Gold outlines bleed into the white and make the numbers look fuzzy. With rare exceptions I think high contrast beats low contrast in sports uniform design.

I’m a huge proponent of single layer numbers in most circumstances but on that particular uniform the northwestern stripes are trimmed in gold so it always looked a little accidental to me that the numbers weren’t.  It just kind of completes the look.

This game has gone from possible best of the weekend to mediocre. Pant color shouldn’t even be a debate for the Chargers if the other team is wearing white from the waist down, but I guess using the term ‘icy’ makes it worth it.

They’d better still wear the blue socks.

The Jaguars in teal socks and the Chargers in yellow pants would've made this uniform match good.

Definitely agree, though I think I'd still prefer if the Jaguars wore either B/T/B/T or B/B/T/B, either combo would have great contrast against the Chargers' bright set, especially if they wore yellow pants as they should. The Chargers should always be wearing gold pants when their opponent wears white pants. The Jaguars could almost do without white pants at all; they really only work with the teal jersey and contrasting socks.

Well that didn't age well. Maybe we will get more chargers yellow pants now

It aged fine.  They did deserve to lose based on the sock choice.  The fact that they won doesn't mean anything.

Though to be fair, Big Balls Doug can dress his team however the hell he wants and I'll still pull for him.

This is somehow an “unpopular opinion”, but the Chargers yellow pants are awful and should die in a fire. They look really off with the white jerseys, and the home set with the yellow pants is the worst look in the entire league. It’s probably my least favorite NFL uniform of all time. I’ll never understand why people like that. White helmet, powder jersey, and yellow pants is an absolutely dreadful look. It was terrible when the Chargers first used it years ago, and it still looks awful today.

The entire chargers look really messes with my head. Like many others, I clamored for it for YEARS, and was very excited when they first brought it back. But there’s something about it that just doesn’t work. The shade of powder blue just feels off, and paired with a pretty washed out shade of yellow/gold the whole thing just looks drab, washed out, and stale. I can’t say for sure because I’ve never checked the pantones, but I feel like they changed the shades of powder blue and gold just enough that it just threw the entire thing out of whack. Like, I REALLY want to like the Chargers current look, but I just don’t. It’s boring and IMO, kind of hard to make out any of the detail on TV. It feels like the ultimate case of be careful what you wish for, I guess. I never thought I’d say this, but them using navy as an accent really helped, and I kind of wish it would return.
