Brian in Boston Posted January 27, 2005 Share Posted January 27, 2005 Congratulations to the Arizona Cardinals organization for selecting an update of their logo that embraces modern design elements while maintaining tradition. An outstanding "tweaking" of the club's traditional primary mark! Now, let's just hope that the powers-that-be at NFL Properties and Reebok haven't "screwed the pooch" with regard to new uniform designs. IMHO, the only NFL franchise to "tweak" its logo in recent years and come up with a truly winning new uniform design has been the Dolphins. The Falcons are about a half-step behind Miami in this department (I'm not crazy about the striping on the Falcons' pants.). As much as I hate to say it, my beloved Seahawks - despite making an enormous improvement to their primary logo - dropped the ball with regard to their new uniforms. Football-Fan Posted January 27, 2005 Share Posted January 27, 2005 I like the new logo (It does a pretty good job of balancing tradition with an update).For those that would like to see this new logo on:- a White Pearl/Metallic Helmet- with a Red Face Mask... look no further than the Louisville Cardinals (arguably the most exciting offense in college football last year!) helmet, which of course not only sports this exact configuration, but a cardinal head as well.MY first choice is a RED (or Red Metallic) Helmet shell with a BLACK Face Mask, in part because I think it looks good, plus it differentiates from an already used "Cardinal" helmet (U of L). I think with gradual improvements they will most likely play in the Super Bowl in 2008 in their own stadium. Too cartoony to be an NFL logo. and we all know how lifelike a Raven with a big ol' B behind his eye looks...or the Texas-themed Cowhead for the Texans. Or hell, even that a Streamlined Elvis was at the Battle of Bunker Hill for the Patriots.
