No new design will ever make Pespi better than Coke...remember they never apologize for not having pepsi, they only apologize for not having coke and offer pepsi as the slightly lesser replacement. ha.

I like them.

Beers do this alot. Lots of products do this with seasonal packages or varieties. Wines, micro brewers, jones cola.

I don't see what the problem is.

I prefer pepsi as a drink but that has nothing to do with me liking it. I love the Coke identity as well. They have te timeless appeal while Pepsi has always been more "cutting edge" if you will.

Its a great job of creating different labels but still maintaining the Pepsi brand.

Only time i check a beer can is when i spit the beer out and realize its some american beer brand. Pepsi on the other hand, comes out with these lame *** designs for their can, yet their product still sucks.

I dont care whats on the can Pepsi is the best

 What are you saying?!?!?!?! Do you realize that Osama Bin Laden, Tom Brady, Bill AND Hillary Clinton, The University of Miami football team, Al Gore (SUPER Cereal on that one too), Saddam Hussein (still does) and Bill Belichick all prefer Pepsi over Coke? And you call yourself an American. <_<

I guess if I drink from these Pepsi cans, that means i'll definitely be COOL!!!! B) Why does everything involve pop-culture and is centered around making money??? :cursing::cursing:

College sports as we know them are just about dead. The lid is off on all the corruption that taints just about every major program and every decision that the schools or the NCAA make is only about money, money, and more money. We'll have three 16+ team super-conferences sooner rather than later, killing much of the regional flair and traditional rivalries that make college sports unique and showing the door to any school that doesn't bring money to the table in the process. Pretty soon the smaller schools are going to have to consider forming their own sanctioning body to keep the true spirit of college sports alive because the NCAA will only get worse in it's excess from here

No great surprise.

I've heard Timothy McVeigh and the Unibomber were both part of the Pepsi generation.

PS We've had those cans for a couple of months Down Under. Though I've only had one can at a KFC. I am a Coke drinker. Well, Vanilla Coke if it's available.

Oh, and I've got a site.

They sell cans at fast food restaurants there? That's kinda...interesting.

Okay, let me lead off by saying that I far and away prefer Coke to Pepsi. (There's a reason that we in the South refer to every soft drink as "coke" rather than pop, etc. (**) )

That aside, I really like this, myself. No, the design doesn't make the stuff taste better? No...not directly, anyway. But it could (when coupled with a well-executed all-encompassing integrated marketing communications plan) help make people (in this case, millenials) THINK it's better. You create enough interest and appeal in a brand image itself, people will want it.

Case in point--there is generally NO difference in store brand and national brand stuff, but a guy in my marketing class said he never bought store brands because he didn't "trust them." There's a lot of power in that name and color scheme, and if PepsiCo can do this, using overlapping promotions and embracing changing technology (letting them change the can imagery so easily), more power to them. Will it make a difference? Maybe.

Will it make me want Pepsi? Heck no. But that's just because as a Marketing minor, and an admitted Marketing nut, I know what they're trying to pull.

That and I'm just really brand-loyal to Coca-Cola. B)

Am I the only one who drinks whatever's cheaper?

President's Choice Cola... simple design... good taste... 4 bucks for 24 cans. Can't beat that.

And if you prefer coke or pepsi, PC cola emulates them both so well, they sell one type that is fake coke (in the red can) and one type that is fake pepsi (in the blue can).

I challenge anyone to be able to tell the difference between PC cola and the real brand.

For all the rims and other usless designs on the cans, people need to remember that Pepsi is more associated with the MTV crowd. Hell, Britney was the spokesperson at one time! (Before she hit rock-bottom at least)

For what it's worth I'll go with Jolt! or Dr. Pepper.
