Definitely his best mask to date. I thought his current one was his best so far, but this new one is better yet. Love Luongo's taste. He's got style.

I'm Danny fkn Heatley, I play for myself. That's what fkn all stars do.

If the Flyers don't win the Cup I hope the Lightning do simply to see how abso-****ing-lutely bizarre it would be in the way they handle championship merchandise and so forth. Imagine seeing a Stanley Cup Champs t-shirt with a logo the team never wore while winning said championship.

That happened in England a couple years ago, when Chelsea won the Premiership after unveiling new logos for the following season. All the championship merchandise had the new logo, which was also the first merchandise with the new logo for sale.

Hold on.

This isn't style. This is trainwreck. I'm glad someone took him aside and told him that less is more.

Sure, Luongo's mask is cool, but I'm surprised no one has even brought up the awesomeness of Jonathan Quick's retro gear with a mask painted up to look like Rogie Vachon's mask with ears included.x610.jpg

Quick gets my nod for best-dressed player of the year. I mean, look at that pic. He's got Rogie's mask, sure, but then he goes absolutely balls-out with the pads, adds on a natural wood-colored stick, and appears to have taken a purple marker to the Vaughn logo on his pants to make it blend in better - after all, there weren't big pants logos in 1970.

For all the bird de lis haters I think the bird de lis isnt supposed to be a pelican and a fleur de lis I think its just a fleur de lis with a pelicans head. Thats what it looks like to me. Also the flair around the tip of the beak is just flair that fleur de lis have sometimes source I am from NOLA.

:censored: the Black and Silver. I wish they would do the right thing, and go back to their original look.

I'm not one to disagree with you. That's why I bought a Drew Doughty jersey in that style and did not have the name put on it. They didn't have names on that jersey (purple version) until the last 4 years they wore it.

The only thing the Kings need to do is add hem trim to their current unis.

You people are once again drastically overrating yet another dated design simply on the merit of blind nostalgia :)

And lose the useless wordmark at the bottom of the Hem. The Kings 2002-03 to 2006-07 jerseys looked far better than anything they've worn in their history. Shame the design was butchered, like so many jerseys, during switch to Edge.

I think the Kings have been fortunate in that every identity they've had has looked great, including this current identity.

That being said, I am partial to the original colors and I even like the old crown alot. I'm only 18 turning 19 in a month, so it's not a nostalgia thing at all for me, I just think the forum blue (or purple, whatever you want to call it) and gold fit. They fit not just a regal identity, but for some reason it just seems more Los Angelesy than black and silver. Had the Raiders stayed in Los Angeles, then maybe itd still fit (or at least seem like it could), but it doesn't quite do so anymore.

The opinions I express are mine, and mine only. If I am to express them, it is not to say you or anyone else is wrong, and certainly not to say that I am right.

Those jerseys still had the wordmark on the hem.

Story B: Red Wings go undefeated and score 100 goals in every game. They also beat a team comprised of Godzilla, the ghost of Abraham Lincoln, 2 Power Rangers and Betty White. Oh, and they played in the middle of Iraq on a military base. In the sand. With no ice. Santa gave them special sand-skates that allowed them to play in shorts and t-shirts in 115 degree weather. Jesus, Zeus and Buddha watched from the sidelines and ate cotton candy.

I preferred those Kings sweaters when they had the shield as the primary.

As do I. Maybe it was a bit busy in comparison, but it looked much better.

I've probably said this countless times already, but the crown they use as their primary now looks as if it's got a wimpy, frightened looking pair of eyes. And no matter how hard I try, I just cannot unsee them. Should I not be intimidated by, instead of intimidating, this rival team's logo?

Yeah I know. What I meant was those jerseys minus the wordmark would have been the perfect look for the Kings. Minus that dreadful purple alt. What is with that neckline anyways?

I preferred those Kings sweaters when they had the shield as the primary. Also, the number font is awful. Just because you can have a custom font doesn't necessarily mean you should.

Disagree. That shield logo was a little too complex and detailed to be the primary logo where as the crown while stylized is pretty simple and to the point (Hockey sticks at the top are a nice touch too). Number font was fine. Im getting a little tired of every team going with a Block font.
