2010 NFL Draft

TEBOW TO DENVER!

Lol nice quick change there, I saw that.

WTF is Denver thinking? Josh McDaniel is running a football team, not a Catholic high school.

I do not like the Gators, but I kind of happy for him as since he has taken all the criticism about his ability to play at the pro level better than anyone could. Remember, last season they took a nosedive, so McDaniels and Bowlen must think that the teams needs a true leader and see Tebow as that guy.

Unless you're a coach, it's kind of hard to lead your team from the sidelines.

Well, if your 1st Round QB can't beat out Brady Quinn for your starting job, what does that say about your 1st Round QB?

Didn't EA Sports used to post pics of the first round draft picks in their new uniforms on the Madden website? Whatever happened to that?

I can't believe Brian Bulaga fell to the Pack and I'm so happy about that very fun draft.

Some questions.

- Why would the Chargers trade all the way up to 12 to get a player they could have got at around the 20 range. Unless they thought somebody really liked Mathews.

- Only reason I see the Vikes trading out of the first round is because they man they wanted (Kyle Wilson) was taken a pick earlier. Why do the Jets need another corner?

I'd say the Vikes are taking Clausen. Detroit, Indy, New Orleans and the Rams are not going to pick a QB, so it makes sense. I guess in theory one of 'em could have traded the pick (and maybe the rams will), but that's still my guess.

The Jets needed nothing. It's called 'adding depth'. :D

True but I believe Jerry Hughes could have been a better pick up in that position because 3-4 OLB was one of their needs.

im betting they take a Taylor Mays or Kindle...they will go with Jackson if the ancient one decides to finally hang it up

The Vikings ought to know better than to create another Brett Favre/Aaron Rogers situation.

Let me break it down for you..... Brett Favre is going to play until Brett Favre damn well wants to retire. As long as Brett Favre is on planet earth, Brett Favre will hold out until the very last moment because Brett Favre does not like participating training camp and preseason -- and by now, the Vikings have probably caught onto Brett Favre's laziness. Thus, Clausen's ass will be on Minnesota's bench until the day Brett Favre dies.

So to sum it up, the Vikings will not be taking taking Jimmy Clausen tomorrow. :D

Random thoughts so far on the little bit of the draft I was able to watch...

Up until today I was convinced that Tebow was a certain bust. Now all of a sudden I'm thinking he just might have landed in the perfect situation for him. That throwing motion thing is completely overrated. Just ask Bernie Kosar or Aaron Rodgers. Normally I'm not a big fan of Jon Gruden but I think he made a lot of sense when talking about Tebow right after the Broncos drafted him. I'm not quite ready to do a complete 180 on Tebow but I have a hunch this might work out better than people expect. Call me crazy but I think Tebow will succeed in Denver.

Why did Claussen drop to the second round? Two words; Brady Quinn.

Does Tom Jackson hate Steve Young for some reason?

Anyone know how is Mel Kiper doing so far? He can't fall on his face with a wrong pick enough times to make me happy.

I really wish Kansas City hadn't taken Eric Berry. I was really hoping he'd end up in a Browns uniform. Great pick for The Chiefs.

The real fun starts in round two.

Wait so the draft is on in prime time again tomorrow? Yeah, I definitely liked the original setup better.

The NFL really hit a homerun by moving the Draft into primetime. I can't remember being stoked beforehand that I HAD to tune in, nor can I remember ever watching the ENTIRE first round. And as a bonus, it picks up again tomorrow after tonight's Jimmy Clausen cliffhanger!

Yep 6 till 10:30ET

I'm glad I watched the whole draft on the NFL Network. I sware Micheal Irvin said 12 words and was all when Dez Bryant was drafted by the Cowboys.

I was sold on Tebow and was really hoping the Bills would have picked up. Him ending up in Denver all but guarantees he's the next Joe Montana.

And what does Buffalo get? Another running back it doesn't need. Bummer.

CJ Spiller.....gotta say, my jaw dropped when I saw that pick. Absolutely shocked, considering the Bills other needs at QB, DT, OT, LB yaddayaddyadda.

That being said, I'm already sold on the pick. Any time a guy gets mentioned as the next Chris Johnson, you have to be excited. The Titans were panned for that pick, saying it wasn't a 'need' and they were just drafting off combine times. See how that worked out.

The Bills offense has just been so god-awful boring the last 10 years. Now, in round 2, I'm hoping they go either McCoy or get the best tackle available. I think they can wait on nose tackle, as I've read that's the deepest position in this draft.

Goodbye Marshawn, you ugly ugly man.

Anyone have a guess on who picks up Colt McCoy, and when?

If he's still around, my guess (and I'm by no means anywhere near the draft geeks you guys are) would be that the Steelers try and pick him up. Considering their recent situation, it'd be at least somewhat logical. They could groom him for a year under Roethlisberger, then trade Big Ben...

Dez Bryant already has a number. He'll wear 88 for Dallas.

i sure hope the hell he plays like the last person who wore 88 for dallas.

Dez and Miles as a WR tandem seems like a fun tandem, throw in a motivated Roy E. Williams.

still hope they resolve the OL issue.

CJ will be a touchdown threat every time he touches the ball. The Bills drafted a game-changer, they did the right thing.

If The Vikings take Clausen, it should be The Browns.
