I like this look a lot. I've always thought of the Indians as a predominately red team, probably because their Thome/Manny/Alomar/Vizquel years they had red socks and details. Glad they made this change.

Agreed. This is one of my favorite looks in baseball right now.

If only the cap looked as sharp in true concrete form as it does in that pic. That shade of red just swallows up the navy block C. At the very least, the C needs a thin white outline to help it stand out better. Ideally though, I wish they would make it a red C on a navy crown like the road cap, but with a red bill.

This. I've always felt the Indians were closer to an equal navy/red team, with navy being slightly more dominant or at least the primary color of the caps. Why would they want to look so much like the other Ohio team?

Which teams don't wear the BP's for Spring Training games? I swear I've never seen the Orioles wear them even once at home.

-The Orioles do not wear them at home.

-Tigers always wear standard home and road unis

-Cards wear standard home and road unis

-Cubs wear home uni, BP on the road

-Dodgers wear home uni, BP on the road

You're 99% right on the Tigers, because just once or twice I was at a game where they wore the BP on the road during spring training. Homes are the standard whites in Lakeland.

Like the Cardinals, the Tigers only wear the home hat with the white D during spring training. The road hat with the orange D is not used.

Definite downgrade. Forgive me if I'm stating the obvious, but I'm thinking this is them gradually making their way towards making the SF alternate the primary roadie within a couple of years.

One can only hope.

The SF version is fine as an alternate, but why the hell did they have to f--- with one of the best roadies in the game? And why make it the same as the alt except with San Francisco instead of the SF? Now the two are so similar that is basically pointless, about as much as the Pirates alt cap.

White Sox use their regular black alternate jerseys for every spring training game

And it seems like every regular season game too!

hahaha, i think in 2010 i remember reading that they wore it like 107 times!

Chicago has good reason - the black alternates are one of the best jerseys in the sport.

Plus, they already have the custom white and gray's, so having black gives them a jersey in all three of their colors. I give high marks to all three of Chicago's jerseys.

Even though I think they shouldn't have changed the road jerseys, especially considering that they JUST won their first World Series title in San Francisco in them two seasons ago, I actually kinda like the look of those a lot more than I expected. I'm really excited to see the SF road alts.

The Blue Jays need to keep these uniforms for the next 600 years. Absolute perfection.

And I know they're not new, but the Indians' red hats are pretty bad.

Smart is believing half of what you hear. Genius is knowing which half.
