My Jays look amazing, just wish they were playing better

You spoke too soon. They tied the game with three in the 9th and it's now in the 12th. Anyway, the Jays look so much better now. That new/old look is killer. Hard to imagine why they ever abandoned it.

The Indians would look so much better with blue sleeves, socks, and hats with that cream set. The cream jersey looks great (wearing a replica version of it as I type this) but the red hat just ruins it.

Ditto.

Odd that in the Braves-Mets game, it was the Braves who looked bad. Imagine if they had worn their roads with the navy/red caps against the Mets with no black to be seen. Would've been a great looking (uniform-wise) game.

The Braves should have worn the grays.

Smart is believing half of what you hear. Genius is knowing which half.

Yeah, that's what I was implying. Those navy jerseys are terrible. Need to be burned.

The Padres have become the Tigers, aesthetically speaking. Plain navy piping on a plain, boring white jersey with that same number font. But I say this with all respect to the Tigers, who have certainly made that classic look their own. The only part of the new Padres' set I like is that navy alt, which is simply gorgeous.

From San Berdoo to Kalamazoo.

Absolute perfection for the Jays, and now one of my favorite hats in the league. On a side note, I think the AL East may be the best looking division in baseball. The only thing bringing that division down is the Red Sox' roads.

Indians switch to red undershirts, socks, and belts with the cream uniform look awesome! Really glad they made the switch, only wish they added a red helmet...

Thought the red looked great, but agree, with the cream alts they need a red helmet. The red hats look bad on tv and online, but look great in person. Also they seemed very popular with fans, saw alot of older Wahoo hats, but most of the 5950s being worn in the crowd were the red block C.

And the Rays' abominations, and the Red Sox' lack of red as a focal point and green as a secondary color instead of navy.

This. *runs for the hills*

I like this idea too. Itd be very unique and SO distinct. It's simply too late at this point though. Before 2004, maybe. Now though, it'd be outrageous.

As for the Indians cream alts with the red hat, they look AWFUL. As my mother said about them today, they all look like their mommies stitched their jerseys before the game. Worst look in MLB IMO.

Not really. All they'd have to do to gain widespread acceptance among casual fans is pick a shade close to the Green Monster's color and play up the Fenway symbolism to the pink hats.

That light green from the monster would look terrible on uniforms. You'd have to go with the A's shade or Kelly green.

Well, I'm about to state what I'm sure are going to be three unpopular opinions...so I may as well get started.

1. I like the Braves blue alts. I like them a lot. Sue me. B)

2. I don't like the team, but I think the Red Sox have one of the best looks in the league. We really need to get over all this "if they're the Red Sox, they need to emphasize the red" attitude. Their name is the Red Sox, not the Red Uniforms. As long as they get the socks right, they're representing their name. I also like the simplicity of their road look. Sue me. B)

3. I thought the Padres looked good. I especially liked the gold trim. Granted, the Padres uniforms aren't terribly exciting, but they're hardly the disasters they're made out to be around here.

And I don't care where I'm seeing them, be it in person, on TV, or fans wearing them in the stands, those red Indians hats look like broke-ass Wal-Mart knock offs. They're ugly and they ruin an otherwise great look.

OK, I guess that's four opinions but I'm reasonably sure that I'm not in the minority on the Indians red hats. B)

I noticed that I saw mostly red hats when I attended games last year. The red reminds me a lot of the 90s, and it's a good contrast to the other 3 sets that favor Navy. I'm interested to see how the new whites and blues look, with the simplified look.
