Sport Posted September 4, 2011 Share Posted September 4, 2011 Boise's helmets, for the second straight year, would look great if they would just put the damn horsehead on the other side. I watch it and they've got a real "michigan panthers" quality to them. I find myself pretending the logo's on the other side just to visualize what it would look like. If they put the horse in the normal colors and used on it on both sides on either a blue or white helmet (preferably blue) then that would be my ideal Boise helmet. Just my humble opinion here, but Oregon has outdone themselves from the NTG uniform, in a bad way. That's all sorts of atrocious.I'd have taken yellow monochrome over this any day of the week. On a side note, I was in NikeTown in San Francisco last week and they had display models of the exact same uniform that Oregon is wearing without their stylized numbers, the wings, and the volt. The cut, colors, and the matte helmet were exactly the same though. So the argument that these were made for Oregon rather than having Oregon be guinea pigs for Nike (if that argument still even exists) can be fully put to rest.
