From the photos, I really like the Bucs one. It appears that they may have managed a decent pewter. Of course, true judgement is reserved for seeing them in person, and I think they're probably too high-crowned for my tastes.

I just don't understand why the hell the Bears hat it black with a royal blue bear and red text? Unless it's burnt orange and the deepest midnight navy available, which still leaves the royal blue bear head stupid-looking.

I can't tell if it's the light navy (Padres and Brewers) or the dark navy (Yankees and Red Sox), but the Bears cap is definitely navy. And the orange looks like the Bears' shade to me. Maybe your monitor is off. As the the background logo, I agree that it looks stupid, but all of these have the logo in a half-shade of the primary color, such as gray stitching on black caps. I wouldn't buy one, but I don't think it's a big deal.

I guess I need to hold it in my hands. [/that's what she said]

On th topic of New Era, I assume these caps will all be the new synthetic material instead of wool. Has anybody yet figured out how to shrink that and mold synthetic caps to one's head? I have a synthetic cap on which I have tried all the ideas (wetting it and baking it in the oven, wearing in the shower and then outside, blow dryer) and I haven't been able to shrink it at all.

I've been able to do the shower method a bunch of times. In fact I just did it this morning. Fill it up with water in the shower, then put it on backwards soaking it in the front and top and back without getting the bill too soaked, and then wear it until it's dry. Also, keep pushing down and molding the top corners of the front panel that stick up. It should mold (and shrink some) over time if you keep wearing it.

For example I did it with this one and it turned out great. It was a little big when I got it, but now it fits perfect. Like a glove.

Bucs posted this on Facebook.

Really not a fan of the arched city name over a logo. I like alot of New Era hats, even some more odd designs. But this style doesn't do anything for me. Overlapping and not enough colors to make anything stand out.

Uggh, that is AWFUL. Why pewter? It NEVER works on merchandise.

Oh well, at least all of these caps suck. Just as long as I can get a black cap with a red bill and just the Bucs logo up front (poly would make it even better), I'll be happy.

When I looked at it this morning, Seahawks must be changing their logo as theirs isn't up yet. Also where is the Dallas Cowboys?

I really like the 49ers one but not sure I will buy it. I would like to see what else they will do but I'm loving New Era so far.

Hard to say if New Era is trying too hard, or not trying hard enough.

Those hats are just terrible, all of 'em.

the design concept seems to be a carryover of or at least inspired by a line of college hats they are doing...initially I thought they were kind of interesting but the standard font for all 32 is getting old really fast...also I really don't put much stock into the draft caps as they get a ton of hype due to the lead up of the draft then are essentially forgotten after the even (much like the draft itself).
