infrared41
If your team is out of it, whose bandwagon are you jumping on for the playoffs? Now before someone comes in and decides to go all Cleveland fan on us, let's make this perfectly clear... No one is permanently switching teams, front running, or anything of the sort. All we're doing is expressing who we'd like to see do well in the postseason. Once the final out of the World Series is recorded, everyone will go right back to their regularly scheduled teams. So with that out of the way, let's commence with the bandwagon jumping. Here's how it breaks down for me.My first choice for the World Series is Washington - Baltimore. The rest are in order of preference. If my top choice goes down, I just move on to who's next on the list.AL:BaltimoreOaklandDetroitTexasNew YorkNL:WashingtonCincinnatiSt. LouisSan FranciscoAtlantaThe NL was a little tougher. I like all the teams involved. To be honest, any team that isn't called the Yankees is OK by me. But I'd really like to see an Orioles - Nationals World Series. Cujo
With the Cubs having been mathematically in mid-April, I'll be pulling for the San Francisco Giants in the NL, and the Baltimore Cartoon Orioles to represent the AL -- with the Giants taking it all (again). Who doesn't like a black and orange October, amirght?
cmm
Just not the Yankees and I'm happy.I'm pulling for Oakland though, followed by Baltimore and Washington. I'd have no problem with Detroit or Texas or Cincinnati or San Francisco winning. I'd only root for the Cardinals and Braves if they played the Yankees in the World Series. OnWis97
The Twins have been out since about April 1, so...1. A's...sort of "the other Twins" of the early 2000s.2. Reds3. Giants4. Tigers5. Nats6. Cardinals7. Rangers8. Yanks9. O's10. AtlantaI hate to admit this (though this is the board to admit this on), but my placement of Baltimore at the bottom is entirely related to uniforms. I want Happy Bird to go away. I hate it and if they win it all in year one, it's not going anywhere ever. I never cheer for / against teams because of uniforms, but I've felt this way about Baltimore all year. Disclaimer: If this comment is about an NBA uniform from 2017-2018 or later, do not constitute a lack of acknowledgement of the corporate logo to mean anything other than "the corporate logo is terrible and makes the uniform significantly worse." JTernup
A's-Nats would make me so happy, this would be my favorite October since rocktober for sure. This isn't super bandwagon jumping though, I've been an A's "fan" (my second favorite team for a few years and regularly check on them and watch games when possible) and I have a rooting interest for the Nats remaining from my 5th grade fandom. FiddySicks
I have no reason to bandwagon as my and my mom's favorite team (Giants), my dad's favorite team (Cardinals), and the team I worked for in high school (A's) are all there. But I'd be ok with anyone winning this year, except for the Yankees. On 11/19/2012 at 7:23 PM, oldschoolvikings said: She’s still half convinced “Chris Creamer” is a porn site.) Funky Bunky
I'd be fine with any one of Oakland, Cincinnati, Washington, Baltimore, or San Francisco, winning. If I had to make a list:1 Oakland2 Baltimore3 Cincinnati4 San Francisco5 Washington6 Atlantat-100,000,000: New York, Texas, St. Louis, Detroit. If New York won, it'd be boring, as it'd be their 10,000 championship, and they're a bunch of :censored:s in my opinion. I don't like Texas one bit, I hate Ian Kinsler, and if they won, we'd have to hear Josh Hamilton say that they didn't win this World Series, but it was Jesus who won the series, which is annoying BS. (We all know Jesus is an Angels fan ). It'd be total bull if St. Louis came out of no where AGAIN and won AGAIN, and Detroit winning would also be total BS, as they're only in the postseason because of their geographical location. Raysfan12
I would cheer for Baltimore, Oakland, and Washington for the sole reason that they have been bottom dwellers like the Rays have been for the first 10 seasons. It's good to see these teams in the postseason.

crashcarson15
I've bandwagoned the Nats since they moved to DC (and bandwagoned the Expos before then), so I'm definitely pulling for them in the NL and to win it all.I'd like to see the A's or O's come out of the AL and wouldn't mind the Rangers. Other than that, though, I have no real interest in watching anyone else win the WS.
Epiphanic
Obviously, I'm rooting for the Nationals. And I'll be rooting for the Athletics then the Orioles on the AL side. Still MIGHTY
Angels season busted. Bandwagon... HOOOOOOO!!!!1) Nationals - Because they've sucked so hard for so long2) Orioles - Because they've sucked so hard for so long3) A's - If they weren't a division rival, they'd be first. If they weren't such a great story, they'd be lower.4) Reds - They've been a contender for a little while, and I think it's time for them to step up.5) Braves - Nothing against them really. Love the unis. They're up here simply because they havent won recently and they aren't an AL team I hate.6) Giants - Won recently, and I just don't feel they're as good of a team. It almost feel like they're undeserving. They deserve to be in the thing because they won their division, but their pitchers have underperformed, their division really blows. Buster Posey and that perfect game were neat though. And the SoCal/NorCal thing (though, I like them more than the Dodgers.)7) Tigers - Have your MVP. Take your Triple Crown. But no World Series for you... Plus your team is fat.8) Cardinals - You won last year with an amazing series. Congrats. But your fans can be kind of annoying. And again, probably a team that doesn't deserve it. The NLWC wasn't close like the AL was. You were 6 games back. Go home.9) Yankees - Like I would actually like seeing the Yankees win. No chance. No one except their fans really do. But they don't get the bottom spot, because at the end of the day if they won, eh another Yankee title. Win or lose they'll still have the most. I've seen enough Yankee wins in my life to see that while them winning would annoy me, it's nothing I haven't seen. It's happened and it will probably happen again at some point. However...10) Rangers - Texas has never won the title, and I don't want them to get one. I've really built some sports hate toward the Rangers over the last several seasons. When the division looked to be a lock, I almost wanted them to make 3 straight World Series and lose all of them. But with recent developments, to see Texas out of the division title and out of the playoffs all in a matter of two games would be some extra special schadenfreude.Go Natty-O's!Go Not-Rangers! | ANA | LAA | LAR | LAL | ASU | CSULB | USMNT | USWNT | LAFC | OCSC | MAN UTD |
