"@wobby: "Subject to change, but looking like Patterson will wear 84 (college number), Rhodes 29 and Floyd 76. #Vikings"

from Twitter

At the intro presser, Patterson was already asked about wearing Randy Moss's old number. Hopefully he will make it work just as well (as Moss's first tenure. The second can just be forgotten).

they arent going to retire his number (or atleast not let anyone wear it until they officially retire it whenever moss retires)?

Michael Jenkins has worn it the last couple years as well

Manti Te'o has changed his number from #51 to #50. Apparently he did so for marketing purposes (His nickname will be "Hawaii 5-0")

I'm not gonna lie I really like that nickname. If he was on my team and got a big stop I could easily see me tweeting #hawaiifiveoh

And I mean I don't think 51 is important to him so it's not like he sold out or anything

It's very easy for me to dislike Te'o. What a terrible nickname. A nickname should be genuine, and generally not created by the namesake himself... Or a marketing firm. Just play football you tool.

Yep. Going to be easy to dislike him now.

Of course, as a Charger, he might as well have entered Witness Protection, so I guess we don't have to worry about him. :P

DJ Hayden going 25 with the raiders

Here's a pic of Hayden holding up his new jersey with Raiders GM Reggie Mckenzie:

Are those numbers really like that? The middle bars of the 2 and 5 don't line up, and the bottom serif of the 2 is higher than the 5's respective serif.

Oakland has always gone for the low-budget look intentionally.

I'm keeping eyes on Scott over Rodgers. But with the QB "talent" currently on the roster, I want all four to be in camp that's for sure. :D

Also thinking there is room for Lonnie Pryor, Abry Jones, Ryan Otten, and one of the OT to make it.
