NBA Changes 2013-14 Season

If you have Lebron and your only selling a home, road and alt your doing yourself a disservice financially.

And that's the problem with the NBA nowadays. It's pretty clear that they, above all others, view the uniform primarily as a money-making opportunity. Take the sleeves, for example. They're going to use the sleeves as ad space once the ads start going on uniforms, and they'll mandate that all teams have sleeved alts as a result. All these random alternates make them look like a minor league.

It's all quite ironic considering that the NBA is the only league that won't allow their uniform manufacturer to put their logo on the on-court product.

If you hire millionaires, it is natural that the teams try to increase their incomes. I prefer multiple alternates that introducing new set of uniforms every year.

When it comes to adidas, they compensate the lack of logo on the uniforms with three stripes all around the warm up gear.

That was something that was Stern's decision though, so I'd expect the Adidas logo to appear on the unis from next season.

Sadly, I think you're right.

Then why don't you see the other leagues introducing 100,000 alternates every season? The NBA does not have a monopoly on highly-paid players.

Those don't get nearly as much TV time as the uniforms, though.

Mighty Ducks of Anaheim (CHL - 2018 Orr Cup Champions) Chicago Rivermen (UBA/WBL - 2014, 2015, 2017 Intercontinental Cup Champions)

King's Own Hexham FC (BIP - 2022 Saint's Cup Champions) Portland Explorers (EFL - Elite Bowl XIX Champions) Real San Diego (UPL) Red Bull Seattle (ULL - 2018, 2019, 2020 Gait Cup Champions) Vancouver Huskies (CL)

because the NBA is the least watched league, maybe just ahead of hockey, but hockey players don't get payed anywhere close to as well as NBA players.

lebron publically trashes sleeved jerseys: http://probasketballtalk.nbcsports.com/2013/12/21/lebron-says-heat-shooters-already-upset-about-christmas-day-jerseys/

"LeBron said in pregame that the Heats shooters are already upset about the Christmas jerseys.

LEBRON: I cant have my shooters out there worrying about some sleeves and not shooting the ball.

Sayonara, sleeved jerseys.

I KNEW this was going to happen. It starts with a few players grumbling about them, then a super star steps up (I even said it would probably be Lebron) and complains, and these stupid T shirts are gone before the end of the season. Hell, after that, I wonder if these will even make it to Christmas.

I could almost see a scenario on Christmas where one team simply refuses to wear the sleeved jerseys, or more likely, one big name player is having an off day in a close game and rips/cuts the sleeves off.

i don't know about you guys, but i haven't seen a single person wear the sleeved jerseys, for as much as adidas is thinking people would be more likely to buy these i don't think it's working even in that capacity.

yeah, and i don´t get this either, adidas is German right ? i have never before heard of those guys stuffing something down people's throats or telling them what to do ..........this is shocking :o

If sleeves are gone I guess everybody will like Lebron again.

I think most people like him now. It's just that the ones who don't like him hate him.

He's just on a different level. What would be a great game for most players is a mediocre game for him. It really has gotten to the point where he doesn't impress anyone unless he puts up at least 40 and a triple double.

The hate was so over the top

I was one of those who hated him at first, then gradually started loosening up. I'd probably be closer to liking him than hating him now. But I'm glad he spoke out against sleeves. Someone had to do it, and apparently Steph Curry wasn't enough. Don't get me wrong, I love some of the designs on the sleeved jerseys (I.E. T-Wolves, Suns, Clips) but they would look so much better just like normal jerseys.
