College Football 2014 Season

I think in regards to the baseball uniform that people are in a panic that we won't be wearing the throwback uniform anymore since there wasn't one on the reveal. However it's already been confirmed that we will be keeping that one so people should settle down.

The cream jersey Arkansas wore against Vandy yesterday was sweet, too. All they really need is the cream jersey with the A, the red jersey with "Arkansas" in the new font, a gray jersey with "Arkansas" in the new font, and a white jersey with "Razorbacks" in the new font, and they're set. Would easily be the best look in the SEC.

I don't really see anything to complain about Arkansas. IMHO an upgrade from the mess they had before.

Well they did change the ones on the huskies alittle, they did nothing to change it from the stock template for the razorbacks

I'm actually surprised Nike hasn't tried to make those "Hog Tusks" cause that's what I thought of when I first saw them. I think tusks there fits better than the stadium in Washington.

I think the most astounding thing about the new Arkansas uniforms is that a Nike school unveiled a new set without filling in the same sleeve section. It's a uniform miracle! That said, I think this is an upgrade for them overall. I still wish Arkansas would choose between whether they want to use the hog logo on the helmets (red and white only) or if they want to go with the more modern version (used on the pants).

I'd be curious to see what the more modernized hog logo looked like on the helmets. I almost feel like it would just look wrong. I also like the idea of having the side logos of the razorback on the helmets met with the front facing logo on the collar.

They took the "FORZA" typeface from Hoefler & Co. And Nikefied it for this identity. Not bad but the serifs and the cuts bother me.

Nope. I think they look pretty nice. Arkansas, to me, has always looked best with a simple, clean uni set. This is conservatively modern. The only thing that I think they could change would be the white tribute to the University of Washington stadium on the chest. Also, I'm surprised at the head-on logo. I like that as well. Didn't think I would. And I like the font. Call me crazy.

Arkansas looks so much better when simple, just like you said. My only issue is the front facing logo. If it matched the primary more, I think it'd be great. To me, this new Pumba logo is Arkansas' Toonces.

I'm not a fan of monochromes, but that stormtrooper look is beautiful.

These aren't bad, they're just SO boring.

The one time people get a boring uniform, they complain. Yet when Nike unveiled modern uniforms people complain that it's so ugly and want to go back to the "golden age of CF uniforms". People just can't be pleased!

FWIW, I think ALL of the recent college football releases have been pretty underwhelming (Even Florida State). I thought at first that it was me, but the more I see, the more I think it's just Nike reaching their limit of creativity (Or they've just gotten completely lazy). I feel like we haven't really seen anything "New" in quite some time.

That and some of the absurd explanations for why side panels and whatnot are different colors and such is just ridiculous.

I feel like with certain colors (and designs) monochromatic football uniforms can work. Specifically, red, white or black.

You have to admit they are pretty creative in the way they pull these descriptions out of their backsides. I sort of appreciate the effort in a weird way. I mean for a company that clearly tailors its designs to draw attention to the swoosh, it would be soooo them to say "because we can" in regards to the panels. Instead they roll out some made up, eye roll inducing BS and I think I'm starting to like it. If for no other reason than to see the Browns new unis with "the numbers inspired by the semi truck used to move the original Browns to Baltimore."

I loved the font before it seemed to go viral a few years ago. Now I hate it.

Looks like Nike's new 2014 thing is filling in those indents that start at the armpit on their jersey cut.
