Imo I like the black numbers. I think it also adds balance to how much they expose the teal on the new uniforms.

My only bait is the yellow/orange hockey stick and, inside the crest. To me, it stands out. But I guess with the overdraft of using the teal in the uniform ( gloves and helmets ), you don't notice it... as much.

Overall, it's an upgrade. I like the new uniforms for the SJ Sharks.

Said it already but it bears repeating: going through this whole process of coming up with a nice rebrand, only to ignore the primary logo is so disappointing. Everything else looks great though. Gloves could use a little black, maybe on the branding. Other than that, very nice. Also like the black numbers on the white uniforms. Provides nice color balance with the teal heavy pants/gloves

I anticipated not liking them either. However earlier in my EA game I played with my test update with both teal and black numbers and found myself liking the black better for some more color balance.

Love the home teals.  Still think the away whites aren’t great.  
 

the teal equipment is perfect.  No reason to add black here, more color the better.   With all the horizontal stripes on the waist and socks it breaks up the monotone look so we don’t get a yoga look like the NFL.

the orange in the triangle really stands out as out of place, it would be such a simple fix to remove it. but i like the pop that the stick provides for some reason. (like it has on every non-orange accented jersey)

 

really like the look, especially the NOB/number font, always thought the traditional block didn't fit with the pika-shark era. all-teal looks better under the lights. 

 

wonder where we see the stealth jerseys and shoulder logos going forward.

curious why you dont like the white cuff? don't think it's particularly common or overdone and i think it's needed to break up the color of same colored gloves and jersey, much like the leotard look in the nfl. unless it's a two-color team like detroit

One of my friends kinda put it best. “They’ll suck next year, but at least they’ll look cute.” 
 

I like it a lot more than I thought I would. A few things could’ve made it better, such as ditching the orange from anywhere but the stick, or even changing to the new logo set they weirdly released a few years ago and then kinda didn’t use. There are still some aspects of the brand that seem sloppy, but this is the most I’ve liked their look since the update from the original logo. The all teal feels like enough of a separation from the first look to be new, rather than just trying to update their first look and kind of falling flat. 
 

 

Hopefully they keep an all black alt and can swap out the pants and helmets occasionally. That sort of makes me afraid for a teal/black/teal option, but

BEAUTIFUL Sharks uniforms. LOVE IT. An all-teal uniform is going to look as gorgeous and distinctive as the all-kelly green worn by the Whalers and North Stars in the 80s. It's not going to bleed any retinas like the Seahawks' all neon green.

 

My ONLY nitpick is using black instead of teal for the font on the whites.  Even the Wild should be using dark green font instead of red on their whites. The dark font on the light base should always match the pants unless it's the primary dark base. Ex. Rangers(primary royal blue with red pants), Flyers(primary orange with black pants). This could still be corrected at some point.

I love these. My favorite new uniform in all of sports in years. I don't think I've liked an update this much since the Blue Jays went to their nu-92 set in 2012.

I like them a lot.  Feels like they went traditional/basic without approaching boring.

 

And my OCD is not going to miss the asymmetrical orange stripe.

Now that someone pointed out the black numbers provide color balance with the teal pants, I get it and like the look even more.

 

The head-to-toe teal looks much better IRL, but I also think it's one of those colors that will have some vastly different appearances depending on arena lighting, so we'll see how it shows up in the Shark Tank. I also think we're a year or two away from an inevitable all-black alternate, and I wouldn't be surprised to see the helmets and pants from that paired with the primary teal jersey on occasion.

 

We used to give actual grades for unveilings around here sometimes. This one's an A with no caveats. I'm so happy the shark fin patch is back.
