NEW.ERA
Get readyI bet I'm the only one here that doesn't care whether Favre is playing or not.My heart skipped a beat when he walked out of that locker room and put that helmet on. Not because I care one damn about either the Packers or Vikings, but because it's the first time I've seen Favre in a non Photoshopped Vikings helmet, and it was a bit unsettling. Anyone else who's seen the video of him putting that helmet on think he's got a look on his face that says, what the hell am I doing? To me I thought he had some trouble putting the helmet on haha. epper
Man he looks old for 39.So the question now is, when does Madden announce he's coming back?
TFoA
I can imagine if Madden comes back, it'll be like the times when Jim Ross came back to the WWE booth...he goes over to where an unsuspecting Michael Cole is sitting (this time, Collinsworth), gives him a look, then Al Michaels gives him a look, then Madden says "Well what are you waiting for? Get your ass out of my chair!" and the game goes on. Yeah, that's how I see that going down. But yeah, this would've been more of a shock had it not been speculated on since March, and if Favre hadn't have gone to the Vikings from the Packers. But wow @ the Vikings, they seriously wasted NO time.

dfwabel
WHY!?!?!!Because Brad Childress is getting desperate and has nothing to lose, that's why. He probably figures it's his @$$ if the Vikings don't go deeper into the playoffs this time. That's not happening with the QBs he's got. It may or may not happen with Favre either, but even if it doesn't, the worst that can happen to Childress is the same as it would have been if he didn't bring Favre in.It is not really Childress who is desperate, it is ownership overall. Sadly, knowing that they will shell out $12 M for him will have to equal Super Bowl. Plus, I am now pretty sure that there are some state officials who will even look less to supporting public money for a stadium.

bohob
Personally, I really don't care outside of the fact that in February and March it will be the same old "Will he; Won't he" bull****. As a Wisconsinite, all I can say is that I've never rooted for him. I've had people telling me my whole life (practically) about how great this guy is, and it's a farce. Sure he holds the touchdowns record, but he also owns the interceptions record. That means (at least to me) that he's not a great quarterback, he just threw the ball a lot. Brady and Manning are both going to break his touchdown record in the next decade, while throwing less than half the interceptions combined. The Vikings will fail this year because of Favre. Look out Vikings fans, if you are down by two scores in the 4th quarter, your team will lose. I'm not trying to be rude, I've just seen it happen too many times before.[/rant] NHL 2016 by Bowen Hobbs * BOHOB's MLB Redesign Project * MiLB Re-Brands * NCAA Football Concepts

The more rational part of me just wants to pop open a beer and watch him fail on his own merits, week by week. thestockholmpig
OK, so I'm not really that big of a football fan at all. But this is getting pretty ridiculous. Just when I thought ESPN and other sports news have finished talking about Favre, this happens. Now I'll have to put up with more 24/7 coverage of the most uncommitted man in the world. Quit pissing off everyone and raising their blood pressure!A week ago, Favre was sitting on his ass down in Kill, Kilm, whatever the hell, Mississippi, enjoying the retired life -- That was until Micheal Vick stole the spotlight and took away his nightly segemnt away on SportsCenter. Therefore, "Bratt" took it upon himself to get off his self-centered ass and come out of retirment for the seventy-sixth friggin' time, thus taking back his spot as America's most dispised athlete. infrared41
Nothing good will come of this. My prediction is that he's gone by week 10. He's going to quit midseason and destroy what little bit is left of his legacy.
