I don't care how good Fav-ruh MAY play - and that's a huge may - but this has to be just corrosive in the locker room. They can say whatever they want but on some level it's going to foul things up. It'll be interesting to see how it works out, especially when he craps out again late in the season and maybe goes into a playoff game and throws a couple of stupid picks a rookie would get cut for. That's my feeling at least. Who knows, maybe he'll paint the world purple and gold. With some random white panels and lots of pointless piping. He probably figures it's his @$$ if the Vikings don't go deeper into the playoffs this time. That's not happening with the QBs he's got. It may or may not happen with Favre either, but even if it doesn't, the worst that can happen to Childress is the same as it would have been if he didn't bring Favre in. And make sure they know not to come into his private locker room area without permission. But the clueless hayseed Viking fans will think they are going to win it all this year when they start 3-0 (which would have happened with anybody at QB). Well now I can't say there are too many people out of Minnesota who like this dude. In fact, after seeing the path of destruction this dude leaves in his wake, how can Vikings fans even be happy about this? If they're smart they'll boo the crap out of him for being such a self centered moron. Personally, I blame both the Vikings and Favre for all of this, but the one I blame the most, is Roger Goodell. With all of the power he has to suspend players almost without question, how come he didn't step in and say, ok Brett, go away now, you're making a fool of yourself and hurting the image of the Packers and Vikings. All of this does NOTHING but hurt the image of the game IMO. But you know who's happy as hell about all of this? Ted Thompson and Mike McCarthy. With the amount of people who were calling for their heads after snubbing Brett the first time it looked as if their time in GB was limited, especially if Favre led the Jets to the playoffs and the Packers flamed out. Favre acting like Veruca Salt (Favre's last four games last season helped them too, but not nearly as much) saved both of their carreers in Green Bay.And here's the WORST part. Ten games of Vick > Sixteen games of Favre. And then at least they'd have a quarterback for more than a season. I think it's safe to assume that Favre will be retiring again at the end of this year, and they've made it pretty obvious that they don't even see Rosenfels or Jackson as serviceable options. He is just going out there to play and throw the ball around. What you get is reckless play and interceptions. No team IMO can win with Farve at this stage of his career.He'll show up to win 2 games this year. Not because I care one damn about either the Packers or Vikings, but because it's the first time I've seen Favre in a non Photoshopped Vikings helmet, and it was a bit unsettling. Anyone else who's seen the video of him putting that helmet on think he's got a look on his face that says, what the hell am I doing?
