Yeah, you said one, and the team has to still be around. I plead guilty to violating the rules, but I can't help it. The Oilers are (sort of) still around (okay, it's a stretch) and their silver-blue era unis were gorgeous.

I'll second the pre-2009 Red Sox away uniform.

I wouldn't mind seeing these old White Sox beauties make a return either (though I'd say only as a throwback):

I don't believe these are presently being used as a throwback (though a modified white version of it is). These should be the Leafs' full-time jerseys, IMO.

And for both the name and the jersey, these:

If the Bills decide to abandon their AFL unis as a throwback with their switch this year, you can throw those on this list too.

Sorry for two, but I love them both equally.

Story B: Red Wings go undefeated and score 100 goals in every game. They also beat a team comprised of Godzilla, the ghost of Abraham Lincoln, 2 Power Rangers and Betty White. Oh, and they played in the middle of Iraq on a military base. In the sand. With no ice. Santa gave them special sand-skates that allowed them to play in shorts and t-shirts in 115 degree weather. Jesus, Zeus and Buddha watched from the sidelines and ate cotton candy.

Well, Grim, you said "(or if you must, you can pick soccer, etc, but please no minor leagues) that isn't used at all anymore, to make a comeback, what would it be?" and "it has to be for a team that is in existence" which kind of eliminates my favorite-- if Tampa Bay somehow got back into the MLS they could follow the Pacific Northwest trend of going with the old NASL names and wear this:

The FC Tampa Bay "Rowdies"(can't use the name anymore for copyright reasons, they are trying to get it back) wears shirts very similar to the old Rowdies:

My choice would be the 1997-2002 Florida Marlins:

I've tolerated the Bucks return to green & red because it got rid of those terrible purple jammies, but I've never been a huge fan of those colors being used together. To my knowledge, they're the only team in the "Big 4" to have ever rocked double green... they should bring it back.

There's plenty of NHL ones I'd like to see again but I'll stick with these for now

Personally I like these a little bit more than the championship uniforms

In terms of the NBA I'd like to see the Rockets go back to this look. Again plenty of NBA ones to pick

Couldn't really think of a good NFL one right now

I own this jersey. Like almost literally. I've gota a player-issued Luke Prokopec jersey from 2002. Assuming he got sent down before he could wear it, so that's how I've ended up with it.

Fun fact, these jerseys were actually "faux vests" in that the vest was actually part of the rest of the jersey.
