Billy B Posted December 22, 2012 Posted December 22, 2012 The Rose Bowl is the exception to the rule. And those logos were put on the shoulders, not the chest.
aawagner011 Posted December 22, 2012 Posted December 22, 2012 They probably just seem bigger because the jersey space is diminishing.
TimEOBrien Posted December 22, 2012 Posted December 22, 2012 2003 Outback Bowl, a game I was at:10 years ago - to the day - come Jan 1. Those are bigger than any patch I've seen this year, by far.

Why can'tthey keep doing this?Because it looks like garbageI still think its awesome, not ugly. If you look at the Florida players right shoulder you can see the standard patch everyone else wore. A lot smaller. Also, I think it depends on the bowl. For the New Orleans Bowl the patch is a lot smaller than the patch for the Alamo Bowl last year. Same for the Fiesta Bowl. I think some of it is due to the height of the logo. Ohio State's Alamo Bowl patch is still slightly smaller than what Baylor wore, but Nebraska's patch was much larger since it sat on the shoulder.
MellowTheMyth Posted December 22, 2012 Posted December 22, 2012 Boise State looks stupid w/ matte black helmets and blue jerseys.
MJWalker45 Posted December 22, 2012 Posted December 22, 2012 Why can't they figure out they don't go together?
oldschoolvikings Posted December 22, 2012 Posted December 22, 2012 Boise State A football uniform looks stupid w/ matte black helmets and blue jerseys. More to the point. http://dstewartpaint.blogspot.com/
Brave-Bird 08 Posted December 22, 2012 Posted December 22, 2012 I realize I'm in the minority, but I absolutely love that look for Boise State. I'm also a guy that always liked the black in the Mets uniforms, if that's any indication of where I'm coming from.
MJWalker45 Posted December 22, 2012 Posted December 22, 2012 I didn't realize they were wearing black pants. It's not as bad a look as black/blue/blue but not as good as blue/blue/white.
Guest Posted December 22, 2012 Posted December 22, 2012 Honestly, IMO if it wasn't Boise State who plays on BLUE turf at home, it'd be a pretty good looking uniform. The silver of the helmets pops against the matte black and it works - Just not for Boise
Billy B Posted December 22, 2012 Posted December 22, 2012 On its own, I really like Boise's matte black helmet. But wearing a black helmet and pants with a jersey that includes no black looks really bad.
FiddySicks Posted December 22, 2012 Posted December 22, 2012 It's funny because black, blue, and orange should be such a kick ass color combo, but for some strange reason, it NEVER works. On 11/19/2012 at 7:23 PM, oldschoolvikings said: She’s still half convinced “Chris Creamer” is a porn site.)
oddball Posted December 22, 2012 Posted December 22, 2012 The funny thing is, while I hate just throwing black out there and adding it to a uniform, what Boise State is currently wearing works. The thing is, this would work better if it wasn't Boise State whose colors are blue and orange.
vicfurth Posted December 22, 2012 Posted December 22, 2012 When the actual game jersey looks like a "women's cut" and actually would look BETTER on a set of boobs than a set of pads, the jerseys are too tight.
