ninersdd
Now if Panama gets a result at Azteca next month, I'm wondering the US should field a Z lineup against them in the last game , to screw Mexico over. Needschat
As discussed on BeIN, the US needs a national stadiumWith Seattle's capacity (and band)With Portland's atmosphere (and Timber Joey)With Columbus' mystique (Four straight 2-0 over Mexico, 9 wins, 0 losses, 3 ties all-time in the house that Lamar built) Oh what could have been.... Kevin W.
As discussed on BeIN, the US needs a national stadiumPlaying in multiple stadiums works just fine for the US and is fitting for a country like us.Spain, Brazil, Germany and Italy don't have official national stadiums either. They seem to manage without one. Mighty Ducks of Anaheim (CHL - 2018 Orr Cup Champions) Chicago Rivermen (UBA/WBL - 2014, 2015, 2017 Intercontinental Cup Champions) King's Own Hexham FC (BIP - 2022 Saint's Cup Champions) Portland Explorers (EFL - Elite Bowl XIX Champions) Real San Diego (UPL) Red Bull Seattle (ULL - 2018, 2019, 2020 Gait Cup Champions) Vancouver Huskies (CL)
Kramerica Industries
I thought the Bernabeu was the Spanish national stadium, though I guess I shouldn't be surprised if they play in Barcelona or Valencia or other notable Spanish towns. Besides, in a country of substantial size, it makes sense to spread it out so that all necks of the country can feel involved. It would be harder to foster the same emotion if the Americans always played in Los Angeles or Chicago. It's nice to be able to play games anywhere between Tampa and Seattle. There are certainly enough stadiums to suffice.

It'd be foolish for Spain not to use the Camp Nou considering it is the largest stadium in Europe. rams80
I'm in favor of turning Soldier Field into our own little Saprissa though. NJTank
There are too many cities that would want the games, its a bad idea for a national stadium. raysox
Exactly, plus, Costa Rica's second city doesn't really compare to a place like Chicago. We have the cities and stadiums. Bring the fans, and it's a party.Tonight was great, got to spend the win hanging with the AO Tallahassee. But Beasley is KILLING ME. He shouldn't be in the starting XI for this squad. Two errors of his leads to a loss in Costa Rica, and tonight he whiffs on a cross and I don't think he completed a single pass. Also Mix deserves a starting spot. Mix, Bradley, and Zusi in the middle? Yes please. @MichaelDanger19 | Dribbble
Jaffa
A fancy national stadium may be a nice status symbol but it limits the team to a single part of the country, a particular problem when a nation is the sheer size of the US.When Wembley was being redeveloped, England toured the country playing at a variety of club grounds - off the top of my head the team toured to such cities as Manchester, Liverpool, Birmingham, Newcastle, Leeds, Sheffield and others besides. It was brilliant - Wembley can be a pig to get to from parts of the country (as well as being a very pricey trip) and it opened up England matches to folk who might not normally be able to see them. It's a shame the practice was abandoned when the rebuilt Wembley opened. Seadragon76
After watching the game last night, I think that Mexico should ask the Americans to move their next meeting to somewhere other then Columbus, because it's become a 'Casa del Espanto' for the Mexicans. Now the last two games are just to basically show off before the trip to Brazil. NJTank
Good, we should never play Mexico in LA because it turns into a Mexico home game. Game in the USA should be hard for the opposing country, like any other road team in any other sport. www.sportsecyclopedia.com For the best in sports history go to the Sports E-Cyclopedia at http://www.sportsecyclopedia.com
kmccarthy27
I would have no issue with US Soccer using Columbus as a central go to stadium for qualifying and such. Friendlies they can tour but the money games should be hosted in Columbus.

crashcarson15
Your friendly reminder that US Soccer reportedly offered to move the qualifier to Los Angeles in return for Mexico playing the qualifier with us in Monterrey.Maybe El Tri should've taken that.I thought the Bernabeu was the Spanish national stadium, though I guess I shouldn't be surprised if they play in Barcelona or Valencia or other notable Spanish towns.Nope, Spain doesn't have one single national stadium, though they split most of their major games between the Camp Nou and the Bernabeu. Part of what's great about the current setup is the vast number of cities that have had the chance to host the USMNT, be them in friendlies or competitive qualifiers. That's how you grow the game.
