NFL Redesign 2014: Pro Combats (Added Tampa Bay)

Alright, ladies and gentlemen, its finally Super Bowl Sunday. I wish I could be posting my Seahawks, but hey it is what it is.

DISCLAIMER: Not a real conversation with Chip Kelly and a reporter. R: Chip, what improvements do you think your team needs to make? CK: Man, I sure miss my Ducks uniforms. All 360,000 of 'em.

My first thought when designing the Eagles: no stripes. The Eagles are not a stripe team IMO. I did make them look a lot like the Ducks, yes. Mainly because I thought that it was a look that could work for them, and bring a new level of flair to the NFL.

-Midnight Green is no longer present. Kelly green is. Black and light grey act as tertiary trim colors. As I call it "midnight grey" is added to the main scheme.

-Three helmets, white, green and mdn. grey. Reflective, not chrome, wing pattern on helmet. Numbers on the back.

-Same color jerseys. Iridescent wings, on shoulders, yet with room for TV numbers

-New number font to more closely mimic the "EAGLES" wordmark, which was also simplified.

-Pants have the wing motif repeated, with the eagle head on the side, adjusted for color changes.

I'm not totally in love with this one but I think its a good change. C and C welcome as always.

This is good work. A few comments:

1. The helmet wing should be closer in shape to what they have now, at least how it originates from either side of the bumper. I get that it's a concept but that change would make it a more realistic option.

2. The gray jersey is nice. I've always thought there should me more silver / gray in their uniforms. Of course my idea was for a silver helmet with green wings, but since that ain't happening, a gray or charcoal jersey would work. Green pants only though.

3. To closer mimic the eagles word mark, maybe there could be two versions of each number - one with spikes on the right side.

4. I'd keep only one helmet - the green one. If an alt is desired, then gray or silver.

I didn't want to stray too far from what Pittsburgh currently wears, but there is definetely stuff to be improved.

-widened the helmet stripe on the black helmet, reintroduced the yellow helmet

-rid the world of the italic font, replaced with normal block font

-yellow numbers on home, black, outlined in ywellow on the away.

-new throwback, one easier on the eyes if I might add. see here (1935 Pittsburgh Pirates), and I added a chest patch with the Coat of Arms of Pittsburgh to that jersey

-grey uniform elements form a "Steel City" tribute uniform. NO TV NUMBERS. Diamond steel pattern on the shoulders, same pattern in numbers, used the Pitt Panthers pro combat font.

-added back the white pants from the past. Kept the tan pants for the throwback.

-striped socks across the board.

C and C welcome

The only thing I don't like is the tan pants. I really like their current number font as well. The thick helmet stripe works really nicely. Not sure how I feel about the gray set, but I don't dislike it per se.

As an Eagle fan, oh man those suck, all of them. Appreciate the effort/time you took to do them, but just awful.

For the Stillers, I like the white/white.

Haha well it took me this long to get someone to say that about something in this thread

Thanks for taking my criticism in stride, young man.

Uhmmm, might you be able to re-do the Iggles?? I can pay you!! LOL

Good: The grey uni's, and having no black alts. The white helmets are also good. And getting rid of the Midnight Green is good.

Bad: Those feathers are turrible on the jerseys, pants, and especially the helmets. I don't think the Iggles will ever change their current helmet/wings design. The pants just need simple stripes, that's it. Gray/green/white, thin ones.

Overall, good stuff. Thanks for the efforts you've employed in this thread.

-The gray helmet needs a different stripe - possibly a black stripe with yellow outline, like the pants stripe.

-The black jersey would look better with white or gray numbers

-Just for NFL rules, the TV numbers need to be on the gray jersey.

Smart is believing half of what you hear. Genius is knowing which half.

As far as the Steelers go, I like the home a lot, but I feel like the Nike logo should be white to kind of balance it all out a little bit.

The gray uni's are plain ugly in my opinion. I do like the addition of the gold jersey though. As for the tan pants, they really only work with the bumblebee if you ask me.

And finally, the Chargers

FRYuD5q.png

I love the Chargers uniforms. But like anything, some sligh modifications could be made.

-powder blue over takes navy blue

-lightning bolts now go over the shoulder.

-powder blue jersey is now the home jersey

-no more blue pants, yellow instead

-navy blue helmet with yellow facemask

C and C is welcome on the last 3 posts

The latest Eagles is great. The numbers fit really well, and the silver helmet is amazing.

The new Steelers are great as well. I liked the yellow numbers better, but the white look good too.

The Chargers are, in my opinion, a tough team to do, just because there are so many directions you can go with them. It all looks good, the road numbers are a little muddy, not sure how to fix that. Try to incorporate a little more yellow into the navy jersey so that it ties with the yellow on the helmet and the yellow pants. It'll have to break some consistencies with the regular home, but I think it would be an improvement.

Good work as usual!

dsaline97 is right when he says there are so many ways I can go with the Chargers

I kept it mostly the same but there are some changes

-no navy pants. White w/Navy pants are there for being worn with the navy jerseys if they so desire

-navy jersey features yellow more prominently

-white helmet is now adorned with a grey facemask.

-navy socks added

-pants have a powder or navy belt option
