2014 MLB Changes (logo, uniform wise, etc)

After seeing it in action a couple of times, I like that A's alt a lot more than the old one.

I feel the same way. I still hate the new road cap, but the green alt is surprisingly good looking when paired with the home cap and white pants.

How odd that the Majestic logo is on the wrong sleeve

And that's still the old Majestic logo, right?

KC's version of it kinda sucks though.

KC's version reminds me of their 80s BP jerseys, which I thought were pretty nice when I was a kid.

Smart is believing half of what you hear. Genius is knowing which half.

I disagree. The green tops look only good with the new road caps. I kinda like the dark color with the dark cap and gray pants.

Lots of teams are still using the jerseys with the old Majestic logo because they need to rid of inventory, so they're using up all their old jerseys first. I don't think I've seen any team use a jersey with the new template in the regular season

Go A's!

But you'd think the 2014 unis would have the 2014 Majestic logo. It's not like these new green A's jerseys are old inventory from last year.

The Braves throwbacks the other night had the old logo too. Somethings up...

Yes they are. They probably have a lot of blank green jerseys in their inventory, so they used those when making these new green alts.

Go A's!

If the Brewers can wear a completely different logo on their throwbacks, I don't know why the Braves couldn't do the same. Going to a throwback logo that's based on an element of your identity or a former look works a lot better than just throwing something completely out of left field like the horrendously boring Indians block C.

Oh, the irony.

That's two years at the turn of a century as the Bluebird and Broncos. Would you want the Athletics to wear this logo, or the Cardinals this script, the White Sox any part of this, the Tigers this logo, or the Yankees this logo? Not to mention it was never used in the way it is being used now.

Where's the wishbone C from the 40 years they wore it? Sure, the Reds use it, but so to the Bears. They could use an outline to distinguish it, since the Reds' version instead employs a drop shadow.

Or, they could just use an updated version of the unique C from the mid-70's they used.

Oh, sure, if you want to move the goalposts... ;)

You can argue that they have better logos in their history, but not that this block C is some new made-up fauxback.

White Sox are wearing the 83 throwbacks again today, and with the 83 hats.

83 hats?

Reed.Baines.83.JPG
That picture was from 2013. When the "1983" throwback uniforms were named as an official alternate this season, as opposed to just Sunday home games, a new cap with a navy front panel was introduced too.

From yesterday.
