2014 MLB Changes (logo, uniform wise, etc)

Is it just the Home (white) Cool Base jerseys that turn yellow? I have a Tigers road Cool Base jersey for a few years now and there is no signs of yellow.

No, the grays more so than the whites. Maybe it's that they get stained easier by the infield dust, I don't know. But it seems that more often than not, the armpit sections are noticeably yellower on players than the rest of the jersey.

Any poly- based product will eventually yellow from exposure to sunlight. Apparently cool base fabric has enough polyester to do the same.

Anyone got a picture of a coolbase yankee jersey ?

Tanaka is wearing one in the picture above. Note the armpits.

Sorry, i forgot to say the home white jersey !

Doesn't exist. All Yankee home whites are polyester.

I think the Yankees could get away with a script like the '87 Mets used, since it would tie in with their official wordmark.

I also think that a plain gray uniform with chest NY (no pinstripes, no unnecessary white trim) would work as well.

Of course all they need to do is remove the white from their current road and then there's nothing broke that needs fixing.

Sacrilege, I'm sure, but if they did that I'd like to see them wear the grey crowned cap with the navy bill and navy NY to go with it. The Yankees road uniforms haven't ever had the same iconic feel as the home uniforms, and I think they can get away with the grey cap because there's some history behind it. That or make the NY on the all navy cap grey. I hate when teams have no white in their uniform but keep the main cap logo white.

It's a minor nitpick that won't ever get addressed, but it still annoys me a little bit.

Same here. It's why I like that Mets road alt. All the white is gray. But it only works with the main cap.

So I have MLB 14 The Show on ps4.....and I know usually these games have the world series logo.

Well....could this mean MLB is going the route of the other leagues and using the same logo this year?

no it just means the new logo hasn't been created yet, i feel like this is said every year.

I don't see the outrage if the Yankees wear a different hat once in a while. 1) There are 162 games and 2) It's not something "cool" like camo (Camo is not cool and I'm not Anti-American by saying that). Merchandise is becoming bigger than "the brand" as the Celtics tweaked their unis and have alternates, Notre Dame has modern alternates, etc.

As for the D-Backs, a few years ago, there were two different "P" Pirate camo hats (I'm not referring to the black hat they wore with camo jerseys), but only one was used on field.

camo (Camo is not cool and I'm not Anti-American by saying that).

Camo is used by a ton of countries, so in no way are you being anti-American by saying that. You're good.

No he means the "IT BE OUR PATRIOTIC DUTY YO HONOUR DA SOLDIETS THROUGH SPECIAL JERSEYS AND IF YOU DONT LIKE IT YOUR A CANADIAN LIBERAL COMMIE NAZI" crowd can stfu.

Just reading a bit about camo, this thing on wiki is quite funny :

.

" MARPAT was also chosen because it distinctively identifies its wearers as Marines to their adversaries, while simultaneously helping its wearers remain concealed. This was demonstrated by a Marine spokesman who at the launch of MARPAT, who stated: "We want to be instantly recognized as a force to be reckoned with. We want them to see us coming a mile away in our new uniforms."

What will the brewers wear?

I believe the 1937 road uniforms looked like these, gray flannels with dark blue piping and dark blue block "M":

Then again, they're wearing "1937 inspired" uniforms, so who the hell knows.
