It would be the absolute most Sharks thing in the world if they blew this series.

This is exactly why I have ZERO confidence in this team.

Well, as much as I'm cheering for the Sharks on this series, it would help my bracket if the Kings at least won this game and the next after in LA, but the sharks win it in game 7, but that'll never happen.

But Zen-Shui, a mix of Zen arts and Feng Shui created by Sharks GM and part time sushi chef Doug Wilson, states that Black is the heaviest of all colours. So there might be more to this upcoming choke job that's completely not the Sharks fault.

Colorado scores again with a pulled goalie. I know we don't like calls to decide games, but late in regulation, Coyle was held with an opportunity to maybe put it into the empty net and Colarado took it down and scored. So a non-call decided this one.

Ultimately, it's hard to complain too much. The Wild find ways to lose because they are mentally weak.

(Yes, I know we are only going into overtime, but every player on every team knows who's going to win this game)

Disclaimer: If this comment is about an NBA uniform from 2017-2018 or later, do not constitute a lack of acknowledgement of the corporate logo to mean anything other than "the corporate logo is terrible and makes the uniform significantly worse."

Yeah, that was as blatant a hold as you can get. That being said, I'm very happy they didn't call it. :D

While I'm happy that this series is going to a Game 6, all these mind games of "what if the Kings didn't allow so many fluke-y Sharks goals in Game 3" are getting more intense than in the previous game. I hate this utter feeling I have in me right now, despite being glad (and lucky) that LA lives for another day.

I'm not going to call it a potential "San Jose choke-job" until after Game 6, when we either see the Kings be 3/4 of the way done to complete the impossible comeback, or if it was just a matter of the Sharks being bored and derping their way to two LA wins before San Jose eventually finish the series off.

Worst performance by the Sharks, possibly all season. I thought the Sharks players remember the Detroit series, and had to salvage a game 7 win. Maybe that's the problem is that they remember. It's extremely hard to beat the Kings on their home ice, we've done it once, and it will be great if they can do it again Monday and close it out in six games, but they got behind early and were not in the game at all.

I was going to go on a rant about a certain word that's used to describe the Sharks in the playoffs, but it's not worth time nor the energy, nothing I can do about it is provide my unwavering support toward Team Teal, and let the chips fall were they may. All I will say is if this series goes seven, I'd rather lose game 5 at home and win game 7 at home vs vice versa.

GO Sharks!!!!

I'm iffy on that non-call. Back in March during a Kings/Caps game, I thought Mike Richards got obstructed way worse en route to an ENG and it wasn't called. In that situation, the thought came to mind but it wasn't obvious enough to me that, for someone who was still at the blueline, that you could award the ENG and, in effect, give the Wild the win. Coyle needs to be more concerned about getting the puck in deep and making the Avs reset their attack more than anything else, really; the ENG is only something to go for when it's literally right there for the taking, as far as I'm concerned.

As for the part where the Avalanche tied the game, well... https://twitter.com/KramerIndustry/status/460267107867836417

I said that with about six minutes left in the game (around 12:00 ET). Colorado has scored so many extra attacker goals this year that it's nuts. While this is certainly helped out in part by Patrick Roy pulling the goalie about 60 seconds before most coaches feel comfortable (seems 1:30 is the usual "pull goalie" zone and Roy does this at 2:30, and did so again on the first rush after that time tonight), the conversion rate still has to be out-of-whack with proportion. But you know what? It's working, and even if Colorado has some sky-high metrics that has inflated their record to some extent, I still give Patrick Roy the Jack Adams just because of his brash confidence when he pulls his goalie.

As far as MacK is concerned, well, I think it speaks for itself. The kid is 18 years old. If I ever needed a reason to feel like I've wasted my life away, all I need to do is watch a phenom younger than myself tearing up the NHL postseason. Thanks, Nate.

Word to Landeskog, when celebrating, try not to decapitate McKinnon! That clothes line was almost as hard as a Nikita Koloff clothesline. I'm shocked McKinnon still has a head. *lol*

There's also the Colorado goal with no off-sides call.

Whether Coyle played it well or not, I think he was pretty clearly held...I suppose it was a smart play since refs tend not to want to "decide" games with calls like that.

But the bottom line for the Wild is that they will continued to be mired in mediocrity. They have just enough talent to sneak into the playoffs, but they are quite adept at finding ways to lose. They need to find some mental toughness and they are at best a few years from being a legit contender. They were competitive in this series, unlike last year, but they really did come in as about the only team with no chance to win the Cup this year. And something needs to change regarding their habit of finding ways to lose before they can be any more than this. Hopefully this series loss (and yeah, it's over) will lead to Yeo being canned.

And you fans of the Blackhawks (and Blues, I guess) should be upset. Colorado is advancing...had the Wild won tonight, you may have gotten a "get out of the second round free" card.

Anyhow, I think my general point stands; there is such concern with calls deciding a game that sometimes we err on the side of non-calls deciding a game. Sometimes a call has to be made (even if this is not one of those times)

No one cares about your bracket.

Just a small non-sequitur, I don't expect anyone to care. I said I'm cheering for the sharks because...

Congratulations to the San Jose Sharks on advancing past the Kings only to be eliminated by a lesser team in a later round!

Hold on to that, and your Kings golf cap avatar. The Sharks might achieve that collapse even sooner!
