Good. Two more wins and everyone can forget about this dumb team like they did the Panthers after their weird run.

The Knights cannot go back home in a 3-1 hole. They're going to do everything in their power to prevent that. However, if Washington plays a very physical style of play; they can very well go back to Las Vegas a game away from hoisting the Cup.

I was at the game tonight Capital One Arena was rocking. It was an awesome experience! Checked off a bucket list item seeing the Caps play in the SCF.  Next stop watching them lift the cup!

How much did that ticket set you back? Friday I read that nosebleed seats for game 3 started near $800.

Some pennies about this series so far:

- I'm not going to mince words. I'm jealous the Caps are in the prime spot to end their choker label. I was hoping my guys would be the next one's to finally shed it. That said, I will congratulate Caps fans and be genuinely happy for them should they close it out. But I do feel like I'll be joining Blues and Canucks fans as we sigh and wish it was our moment in the son.

- I'm growing ever more annoyed at how Vegas decided now to look human. No, they couldn't do this a month ago when it could've helped the Sharks get back to the WCF to face the Jets. Sure, they probably lose that matchup too, but in the playoffs, you just have to get there and see what happens. So yea, thanks Vegas for deciding your second and third lines didn't need to do much anymore. You come this close to pulling off an unbelievable run, but end up crapping out in the 11th hour.

Yknow what, that might be the making a new choker franchise. Way to go Knights! Keep on sucking that fat one!

"And then I remember to relax, and stop trying to hold on to it, and then it flows through me like rain and I can't feel anything but gratitude for every single moment of my stupid little life... You have no idea what I'm talking about, I'm sure. But don't worry... you will someday."

Not sure if uniform discussion is frowned upon in this thread but as a side note, I think the uniform match-up is much better with the Caps at home.  I don't mind Vegas' uniforms as whole, but I think the gold trim pops more with the white.  The black/grey/slate uniforms aren't bad, just a tad dull for my taste.  And on top of that, the Caps look so much better in red than they do in the white jerseys.

I kind of hope we can see Washington if they win the Cup win it in their home reds, instead of their whites. But, I think this series is going to be like the last two; it's going to be clinched by the team on the road (Pittsburgh beating San Jose in '16 in SJ, and Nashville in '17 in Nashville).

That means either Washington wins in 5 or 7.

Win *or* lose... the Golden Knights are getting a parade on the Strip:

Quote

Clark County commissioners are set to approve plans Tuesday for a parade between Sahara and Tropicana avenues to celebrate the team’s Stanley Cup run in its inaugural season.

“It’s been an incredible season and a great ride,” Clark County Commission Chairman Steve Sisolak said last week discussing a possible parade. “This will be history that will never be repeated.”

Double :censored: that. And people wonder why we're turning on Vegas...

Hartford once threw the Whalers a parade just for making the playoffs, but that's pathetic in a much more endearing way because it was a loser team in a loser city trying to make the most of what little they had. This is a pit of crass faux-opulence feelin' itself even more excessively than it already was.

♫ oh yeah, board goes on, long after the thrill of postin' is gone ♫

Why is that?

Because the league indicated their preference for a winner before the season even started.

Mighty Ducks of Anaheim (CHL - 2018 Orr Cup Champions) Chicago Rivermen (UBA/WBL - 2014, 2015, 2017 Intercontinental Cup Champions)

King's Own Hexham FC (BIP - 2022 Saint's Cup Champions) Portland Explorers (EFL - Elite Bowl XIX Champions) Real San Diego (UPL) Red Bull Seattle (ULL - 2018, 2019, 2020 Gait Cup Champions) Vancouver Huskies (CL)

Sadly, there's been an update:

Quote

The Clark County Commission previously listed discussion on a season-celebrating parade, which would occur regardless of the outcome in the Stanley Cup Final, on a Tuesday meeting agenda. The county stated they had been in contact with the department of public works and Metro, but the Golden Knights said they weren’t involved in the talks.

“The Department of Public Works did not consult with the team or have any dialogue with the team whatsoever before adding this item to the County Meeting agenda,” the statement read. “Upon learning that it was on the agenda, the Golden Knights requested that it be removed.”

...

“I did have it removed from the agenda,” Sisolak said. “It was premature. They’re focused on playing hockey and not anything else. They're solely focused on playing hockey right now.”

Sisolak wouldn’t confirm the item would be heard at a future meeting. The Golden Knights said they’d spearhead the event if it were to occur.

“Planning related to any kind of parade or team celebration will take place only when it is appropriate,” the team’s statement said. “This planning will be led by the Golden Knights. We have not been involved in any planning discussions and will only begin doing so when appropriate.”

Not a good start for Washington so far. Vegas is playing their game and playing it well. Two posts so far for them. James Neal with the miss of the series so far for one of them.
